A SWWS Exclusive after the conclusion of the Crucible event…
(We cut to the backstage area where we see a couple of roster members leaving the arena either going back to their hotel they were currently staying at, or catching the next flight out, but for Lexi Gold those options didn't apply to her as the camera pans over to her still in her ring gear sitting on a chair with her phone in one hand and a bottled water in the other. She looks up at the camera with a big smile on her face.)
Lexi Gold: Normally I'd be on my way out by now, just like everyone else, but I'm still soaking in that big victory my team scored out there. It was a big night for us and despite Johnny Sykes not being able to make it to the match, we found a great replacement in Graupe. He proved to be a powerhouse along with the rest together, the Congregation was no match for us
(She runs a hand through her damp, sweaty hair and breathes a sigh of relief as her eyes continue to look at the camera)
Lexi Gold: Most importantly though, Lillie Saint is right where she belongs on our side of course. I'm not going to lie, she made me question her loyalty several times. I honestly thought her loyalty would remain with the Congregation, despite how much we tried to help her. She didn't deserve to have her mind controlled like that. I am happy she is able to speak and show her own actions for once.
(She nods her head and looks down at the ground before looking up and continues to speak.)
Lexi Gold: My best friend is in my life. That's another big reason to smile. Much like myself, she's dealt with a lot over the years yet overcame it.
(A series of loud steps are heard off camera. They grow faster until Lillie Saint appears on screen, running up to Lexi Gold to give her a gigantic hug. Unlike Gold, she managed to get back into her black tank top and blue jeans. As Lillie releases the hug, she glances at the camera.)
Lillie Saint: Hi internet audience?! I think?
(Lexi immediately gets up and laughs at her response before taking a sip of water and making eye contact with her.)
Lexi Gold: I was just telling our fans about the match we had out there and how great it felt to win. How are you feeling?
(Taking a seat next to Lexi, Lillie runs into the trouble of putting the words together. Giving out a soft sigh, she finally begins to answer.)
Lillie Saint: It’s so hard to piece together this journey. I knew they were evil, well, selfish. This was for Vie and I took a lot of shit from these guys.. You know? I was pushed to the point where I felt I had to give into what they wanted, but tonight was redemption. I can breathe, let me just say that.
(Receiving a water bottle from Graupe, Lillie can’t seem to hide her smile.)
Lillie Saint: I don’t know, Lexi. How’d you feel out there?
(Lexi places a hand on Lillie's shoulder and taps it gently)
Lexi Gold: Much like yourself, I felt a lot of emotions heading into that, mainly uncertainty, but I am glad to no longer feel that way. For a while now, there was a void missing in my life, and you filled it in, and for that I say thank you.
(Lexi looks at her nails and gets an idea)
Lexi Gold: We should treat ourselves to a little celebration dinner later, hell, the whole crew could come too if they want. What do you say?
(Lillie thinks about the offer for a whopping two seconds.)
Lillie Saint: I would love to. Everyone should definitely be there. By the way, did you hear about what happened to Johnny?
(Lexi bites her bottom lip and shows a bit of concern on her face over her friend.)
Lexi Gold: That depends on whether it's good or bad news...
(Lillie glances over at Graupe prior to telling Lexi the news.)
Lillie Saint: So, during our match, Johnny called my phone. I didn’t get it until about five minutes after the match was done. When I called him back, he said that there was a disturbance at his house. He thought something happened to Jun and that’s why he rushed home. When he called, he said that there were no problems, Jun was okay. Still, we kind of came to the conclusion that it was the Congregation behind it.
(The more she speaks of the Congregation, the more tense she gets.)
Lillie Saint: I just don’t know where this is going to end if we don’t actually stop Asmodeus. I made a challenge, as I think you saw, to face him at T3. He needs to accept this match so we can put all of this behind us.
(Lexi shakes her head, still showing some concern for Jun and Johnny, while she crosses her arms)
Lexi Gold: If I were Johnny, I'd still watch my back. No telling what Asmodeus or what the rest of the Congregation will do. They are evil human beings, and he needs to protect not only himself, but his wife too. As far as this challenge you speak of, just know I got your back should you need it.
Lillie Saint: Thank you! It was a really hard journey to get to this. Yeah, we got Oliver out of there and he’s so talented. I really want him to get where he deserves to go and have some awesome matches, but Vie.. I don’t know. This guy has these really creepy ways of talking to people, the things he had us do in these vignettes. The masks, the compound.. Everything just gave bad vibes, Lexi. I couldn’t get out of it until you guys came along. I needed to see the truth in what was happening and I can’t thank you, Eddie, Johnny, and MDK enough for that.
(Despite the Congregation's effects still taking a toll on her, Lillie looks over at Lexi like she’s a brand new person.)
Lillie Saint: You know, I don’t want to make this about me, Lexi. Yes, we fought hard and really had moments there where things didn’t feel right, but there were other matches that took place where people shined that you wouldn’t expect them to shine. Maybe we can give them shoutouts and hope they continue their momentum. Would you like to?
Lexi Gold: I don't mind. I am all about sharing the spotlight rather than making it just about me.
(Initially looking out the door to see if any of those particular wrestlers would pass by, Lillie changes her focus back onto Lexi and the camera.)
Lillie Saint: Exactly! The first one I wanted to say anything relatively nice about was Kain Reyes. His efforts in the Crucible match were huge and obviously when you look at the contenders for Kash’s Paramount Championship, you have to include this guy. He looked completely dominant in parts of his match. That, and he has a background of being pretty successful under Slayton, so I have a lot of respect for him.
(A little disappointed that none of the others are around, Lillie continues.)
Lillie Saint: Also, I have to give credit where it’s due. As much as I hate his attitude right now, there’s no denying that Gavin Paine is on the road to becoming something huge in wrestling. Something about him just popped tonight and getting the sole survivor victory is pretty wicked. I guess if anything, I just wish he wouldn’t use a lady who isn’t even in the company to get himself ahead to win the match. Other than that, he looked great.
(Lexi places her hands on her hips and nods her hand again, agreeing with what she just said.)
Lexi Gold: I can see that. It is nice you are giving praise to others Lillz. I feel like that is something a lot of people don't do. They rather go on this bashing parade, but hey whatever. Anyway, I don't know about you, but I think I'm ready to head out now.
Lillie Saint: No kidding! I feel like I haven’t eaten in months.
(After peeking her vision over to the door, Lillie gives the high sign.)
Lillie Saint: Guys, the ladies are starving, let’s do this!
(Graupe looks into the room, acknowledging Lillie as he, Edward Cronin, and MDK walk into the room.)
Lillie Saint: Let’s paint this town red!
(Cronin looks over at Lexi, noticing that she’s still in her gear.)
Edward Cronin: How dare you go out in your wrestling gear still.
Lillie Saint: OH! Lexi, I no..
(Cronin rips away his warmup pants, revealing his ring gear still underneath. Lillie and Lexi laugh at the enthusiasm of Cronin as they walk out of the room, having a chat along the way as the camera fades out.)
