Pre Show Matches - Taped for SWWSWrestling.com
Commentary Team - Dilan Valentine, Suzie Skellington, & Benjamin Isaac
- The Michigan Invasion (Kolm Moross & Abteen Sky) w/ Lord Cadieux defeated Ron Vera & Leon Frost in 6:28 with the Dream Cruise. The stalwarts of House of Paine wowed the audience with their speed and athleticism, while the relatively unknown duo of Vera and Frost were able to surprise some of the audience as well. On commentary, Isaac may have hinted at the Michigan Invasion participating in the T3 Tournament.
- Elena Sofka pinned Alma Smart in 4:41 with the Sofshot. It has been Sofka-mania at Goliath Studios for the young lady since her first appearance last week. The charging punt, known as the Sofshot, drew one of the loudest reactions of the entire night. Here’s to hoping for a strong career.
- The Taureau stunned the SWWS audience by appearing early in the show and attacking two House of Paine students. He made an open challenge, to which both students agreed to face him in the Pre Show Main Event. The debuting Orthros arrived, saving the students to fight The Taureau himself.
Pre Show Main Event
Orthros defeated The Taureau in 14:31 with a corkscrew back elbow. Taureau attacked Orthos before the bell, gaining an early advantage. After that, the challenge was trying to keep up with the masked man. By the time the dust settled, Orthos shocked the SWWS audience with the elevation of the corkscrew back elbow. After the match, Dilan Valentine attempted to get a word with Orthos, but the man simply jumped over the top rope and made his exit. Who is this Orthos guy?
ONTO THE SHOW!!!
The Conglomerate Made Demands; Accepted by Dr. Runa Olsen
The gigantic group known as The Conglomerate, headed by Nicholas Gabriel & Marisol Vilaro, made their intentions known as the beginning of SWWS Live! by demanding that Vilaro replace Dr. Runa Olsen in the T3 Main Event against SWWS World Champion Emmanuelle. Vilaro claimed that Emmanuelle knew she couldn’t defeat the leader of Team Vilaro. The accusation was promptly answered by the Champion herself at the top of the stage. Emmanuelle stated that Vilaro was a pre-season match at best while it was playoff time against Olsen. Olsen joined the Champion, accepting the challenge of the Conglomerate by putting her opportunity on the line against any available member of Team Vilaro. It was promptly accepted by Chantay Lavoie. Vilaro made it clear that Olsen was as good as gone.
Sykes Vs. Cronin Ends In Chaos
The match, announced on Twitter last week, between Johnny Sykes and Edward Cronin stemmed from Sykes defending Lillie Saint against Lexi Gold. The two wasted no time in the match by breaking out into a pure brawl in the middle of the ring. The ring was not the place to be, however, as the two found themselves battling outside of the ring. Gold, who was in the corner of Cronin, tried to break up the fight ahead of their match at the Crucible against The Congregation. While Cronin was more apt to listen to Gold, it was Sykes who nearly ripped the head off Cronin with a gigantic clothesline over the guard rail. MDK joined the fray, pulling the two apart as Lillie Saint simply watched from the top of the stage. Gold had lost control over her team, while MDK was looking to fix the problem somehow. Can this team be fixed?
Silas Romero Sizes Up His Team
The Technical Masterpiece himself, Silas Romero, was backstage as he talked about his upcoming match against Kasey Kash in a Five on Five Crucible Match. While he didn’t speak much about Kash himself, he turned his attention to the people who were picked for his team. He ran through the list, citing problems with Justin Shane & Jake Smith, Kain Reyes, and Veronica Taylor. He stated that he was above all four of them, demanding that the team do the work they need to do and eliminate Kasey Kash without him. Obviously, none of the four teammates were in attendance during the dressing down. However, Chris Slayton overheard what was being said about his Rogue Horsemen member. Slayton simply laughed at Romero, stating that Reyes knew what he would need to do on March 19th.
Skellington Hypes Up Vidal
Board Member Suzie Skellington was backstage with Novia Vidal ahead of her Main Event match against Veronica Taylor. While not much could be said here because of the language barrier, Vidal looked to be extremely nervous ahead of the match, but was being comforted by Skellington. We could imagine the words were very kind, getting the young Puerto Rican ready to take on the world.
The Sydney Experience Qualify for T3!!!
The Sydney Experience, consisting of Katherine Jardine & Maria Brienne, pulled off the upset of 2023 by defeating the returning Mei Koyama & Terumi Niki in an excellent contest. The fans were pulling for the young Joshi team early on, but the power game of Brienne turned the tides in the favor of the Aussie duo. Kicks were flying, the slams were becoming more intense, but it was the Jackhammer from Brienne that sealed the deal on Koyama for the victory in 9:51. With that victory, The Sydney Experience joined Jake Smith & Justin Shane, The Rogue Horsemen, The Inevitable, The COBRA Battalion, and Sakura Matsuda & Yumenko Sato in the T3 Tournament. Two more teams will be joining the field to determine this year’s T3 Tag Team Tournament Winner.
The Trigg Rig Update!
In an effort to garner fan support for a match against SWWS World Heavyweight Champion Kristjan Halvorsen, Derek Trigg had been on the road for two weeks to gain favor. With Board Member Veronica Landis helping him, Trigg found himself at a YMCA in New Mexico. Initially, it looked good, but Trigg found himself on the outs with the locals.
“I’m fighting for you guys, trust me. This isn’t just for me, it’s for the world. We all can find a way to get past our insecurities. Mine, I’m still looking to find a way to get back at that ugly bitch while most of you probably won’t even be able to afford to watch the match. It’s okay though, I got you. You can look online and see that I won. In fact, I might even talk to the guys here about putting it on TV while you’re walking on a treadmill or barely lifting the bar. It’s fine though, I got you!”
The entire time, Landis was trying to reel Trigg back. It fell short, however, as the two were promptly ejected from the gym. Trigg blamed the acoustics, because of course he did.
Olsen Derails The Conglomerate’s Attempted Coup
With her T3 Championship Opportunity on the line, Dr. Runa Olsen turned back a very game Chantay Lavoie in an excellent contest. Olsen’s initial momentum was thwarted by Marisol Vilaro, causing enough of a distraction. With Tyrone by her side, Vilaro continued to meddle in the contest which looked like Lavoie might have been able to get the victory. Olsen’s tenacity showed through, however, as the Good Doctor fought her way back into the match. Things began to look bleak, however, as Tyrone threatened to attack Olsen, but the SWWS World Champion Emmanuelle joined in and remained as a roadblock for the Conglomerate Bodyguard. With Team Vilaro at bay, Lavoie tried to end the contest, only to be brought down to size with a stunning Superkick from Olsen to land the victory in fifteen minutes. After the contest, Olsen looked happy with the victory, but was frustrated that it took the Champion to stop the interference from taking place.
The Final Match for SWWS Crucible Has Been Announced!!
To add onto the tradition of Five on Five contests taking place at The Crucible, the Wildcard match was announced to feature the final ten competitors who will be facing off. We will have the following competitors in this match..
FUMIHIKO, Devin Skylar, Davina Knox, Scalper, & Sakura Matsuda face off against Daniel Horror, Miguel, Yumenko Sato, Kylie Ravers, & Gavin Paine!!!
All ten competitors emerged onto the stage. Two tag teams in particular did not seem happy, as Sakura & Yumenko were on opposite sides, while KAOS members and former SWWS Paradigm Tag Team Champions, Davina Knox and Kylie Ravers were also subjected to be opponents for this match. Noted by his demeanor, Gavin Paine looked to be agitated at the idea of teaming up with Daniel Horror. Even Scalper and FUMIHIKO did not look happy to be teaming up, staring each other down.
Amber Payne Settles Any Doubt in KAOS
As we returned from commercial break, Davina Knox and Kylie Ravers didn’t seem to want to speak to each other. Nikki Payne stepped in to try and calm things down, but it was the SWWS Pacific Champion Amber Payne who stepped in to take control of the situation. The Champion stated that it was stupid that they had to be on opposite sides on paper, but it was just a match.
“No matter what they want, they will not break KAOS. We are stronger than that. We were built for a fight and we will always fight. Just because you two are supposed to fight one another doesn’t mean you’re going to. We will work around it. We will find a way. We always do.”
MDK Solves The Problem
Calling his Crucible teammates to the locker room with an idea in mind, MDK found himself leading the charge in a conversation with Johnny Sykes, Edward Cronin, Lillie Saint, and Lexi Gold.
“Come on guys.. Let’s not forget why this match is happening. Lillie, we win this thing and you’re free! No more Congregation and you get to move on with your life. Lexi, Eddie, Johnny, if we don’t work together, this isn’t going to work. Standing in a locker room isn’t going to solve the problem, no. I’d say next week, we take some time away from this and just have dinner or something. Let’s see what we can do. Just dinner, we can forget everything we know about this crap for one night and we’ll feel better. We’ll take down those clowns with a clean slate. Sound good?”
Johnny, having been aligned with MDK previously, was the first to agree. Cronin saw the sincerity in MDK, agreeing as well. Gold followed suit, only to look over at Saint. While completely quiet, the last remaining member of the team slowly nodded.
Meanwhile, The Congregation watched on from their Compound. Asmodeus, grinning from ear to ear, looked over at Ted Hot, Oliver Bradley, Jacob Fitch, Crazy Violet, and Jonah Greck. Violet, seeing the look of despair on Saint while agreeing to dinner, encouraged Asmodeus to bring the Crimson Bouquet member home.
“She never left home, my daughter.”
Who The Hell Was That?!
The Sydney Experience, fresh off of their victory early on tonight to qualify for the T3 Tournament, celebrated their victory inside of the locker room. Brienne, in particular, seemed to be emotional about the victory as the two had struggled to attain success in the company. As the two turned to exit the locker room, a small blonde woman stood in front of them. Her demonic glare soon turned into an overly excited smile as she hugged the two Australians.
“I’m SO happy for you two! Wow! You went out there and did it! Look at you!”
They struggled to get a grasp on the young lady’s intentions. Jardine tried to shake her hand, but she only responded with a stare. Suddenly, snapped back into reality, she began to laugh.
“Hi ladies, I’m Caroline! I’m happy to meet you. This room is huge! You guys are going to be in that tournament, right? You’re going to win, right? Yeah, you’re going to win. I can see it now.”
Brienne acknowledged Caroline, uncomfortably walking away with Jardine. Caroline, watching the two exit, initially showed a glare prior to breaking out into a laugh as she made her exit as well.
Vidal Gets Her Payback Against Taylor Thanks To The Inevitable!!
In one of the hardest hitting main events in SWWS Live! history, Veronica Taylor and Novia Vidal went toe to toe. With Marisol Vilaro and Chantay Lavoie in Taylor’s corner, the Conglomerate member took the advantage early on. For every high flying move Vidal was able to land, Taylor had an answer for it. Suddenly, the Puerto Rican star found herself mounting the come back with a spiking Hurricanrana for a near fall, but once again Vilaro found herself getting involved. Even Tyrone, Vilaro’s bodyguard, made his way out to help neutralize Vidal which brought out The SWWS Paradigm Tag Team Champions, The Inevitable. Joined by their muscle, Mitchell Ryan, a brawl broke out!
As soon as the opportunity came, Vidal managed to catch Vilaro, Tyrone, Ryan, Alandra, and Chase with a shooting star plancha to the outside of the ring. Taylor took advantage of the situation by ambushing Vidal as she entered the ring. After a solid kick to the face, The Influencer tried for Exed-Out, but a Rolling Prawn Cradle scored the upset victory for Vidal in a twenty minute bout!!
After the match, Vidal was quick to exit the ring while Taylor threw a tantrum in the middle of the ring. Ryan lifted Vidal onto his shoulders on the ramp while The Conglomerate members argued with the referee. The show came to a close as Kimberly Chase and Alandra celebrated with Vidal and Ryan on the top of the stage to a chorus of cheers from the audience.
