The Merger Between The Darkness And Team Vilaro Finalized; A New Challenger Emerges
It was a full house inside of the ring to kick off SWWS Live! Marisol Vilaro, flanked by Team Vilaro members Tyrone, Miguel, Lorenzo, Veronica Taylor, Chantay Lavoie, and The Skylars were joined by The Darkness members Nicholas Gabriel, Kraken, FUMIHIKO, Isaiah Andrews, The Yu Brothers, and the new SWWS World Heavyweight Champion Kristjan Halvorsen.
Halvorsen, with Vilaro and Gabriel on each side of him, gave a sob story about all the trials and tribulations he had when he was younger. Feigning a tear in his eye, the newly crowned Champion burst out laughing. Making the bold claim that he could have done it by himself, he had an ulterior motive at the Legacy Gauntlet. To bring together the two most powerful factions in SWWS. Gabriel chimed in, saying that Vilaro made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. Vilaro, on the other hand, seemed to have more ambition to her plans. She promised that they would hold every single title in SWWS by Homecoming.
Halvorsen, finishing up the speech, stated that he will have the longest World Heavyweight Championship reign, without a challenger to speak of. Derek Trigg found his way out onto the stage. Trigg ran down Team Vilaro, referring to Vilaro as “Jillian Michaels minus the results”. After name dropping several Champions in SWWS, he stated that Halvorsen was a weak link, challenging him for the SWWS World Heavyweight Championship. Vilaro quickly denied the challenge on Halvorsen’s behalf, questioning what Trigg had ever done in wrestling to deserve it. Gabriel followed up by saying nobody knows who Trigg is.
Suzie Skellington spoke up from ringside, enforcing her power as a Board Member. She stated that Derek Trigg could get his match with Halvorsen IF he can prove to the Board that he has the support of the fans. Trigg, unsure how to garner support, pointed at Halvorsen as he accepted Skellington’s offer!!
Silas Romero Hosts Another Technical Masterpiece Theatre
It wouldn’t be an SWWS event without Silas Romero showing off his technical skills in the most arrogant way possible. In his next Technical Masterpiece Theatre, he brought out two local wrestlers to show him why THEY belong in his ring. Both competitors tried their hardest to impress the Masterclass, but Romero’s patience had worn thin. After berating the competitors, he proceeded to unleash a savage beating on both of them.
Making short work of the competition, Romero spoke about lasting well over an hour in the Legacy Gauntlet. He even stated that he wasn’t technically eliminated because of Kasey Kash interfering in the contest. After blaming Kash, Romero found himself in the crosshairs of Veronica Landis, another board member who was ready to make a decision.
Landis confirmed that Kash and Romero will see battle soon. In fact, it’ll happen at the Crucible. She announced that there would be a ten person Crucible Tag Team Match, featuring Kash and Romero as Team Captains. Like the previous Crucible event, the teammates of Kash and Romero would be completely drawn at random. Romero didn’t seem pleased by the announcement, running down the audience before exiting.
The Inevitable Make A Bold Claim In Their Title Defense
Another victory came for The Inevitable as they defended the SWWS Paradigm Tag Team Championship, this time against The Vegas Strip from Michigan Pro. After the win, Alandra spoke about her match with Emmanuelle, citing that she knew she would always come home to where it counted. Proud to be Champions with Kimberly, the youngest member of the Inevitable gave Chase the floor. Chase stated that she was proud of everyone in the Inevitable for the Legacy Gauntlet. Despite her husband retiring that night, Chase said that the Gauntlet taught her how important it was to make a statement inside of the ring. With that said, Chase and Alandra agreed to make an OPEN CHALLENGE for The Crucible. Who would step up to the plate and try to take the Championships from the hottest tag team in pro wrestling today?
Steve Clark Suffers A Setback
Steve Clark, after a nice showing in the Legacy Gauntlet, found himself facing a tough opponent out of Ramon Vidal. As usual, Ignacia was at ringside for the contest. Clark was able to control the young high flyer with an array of strong strikes and suplexes, one that even sent Vidal across the ring into the turnbuckles. Vidal fought valiantly, using his unique Sun Spider offense to regain control of the contest, nearly picking up the win several times before the Claymore from Clark put him down for good.
As he celebrated his victory over Vidal, Clark found himself in the presence of an angry Ignacia. Her clear intention of fighting Clark was thwarted by the larger foe as he picked her up and put her aside. Turning away from Ignacia proved to be costly, as Raul Ramirez laid out Clark with a Capoeira Kick to the head. Ignacia talked down to Clark while Ramirez stood over him, shouting “I..AM…NERON YAAAAAAAAGO!!!” Revealing himself to be the infamous former Warden of Wrestleworld, Yago left with Ignacia on his arm to a chorus of jeers from the audience.
Lexi Gold Tries To Make Amends
Following her amazing performance in the Paradigm Gauntlet, Lexi Gold was in the ring to give her plans on where to go next in SWWS. After weighing out some options, she decided to call out Lillie Saint. Saint, the reluctant member of the Congregation, stood alone across from Gold from the outset. Without a word spoken by the Sweet in Sweetwater, Gold said they had unfinished business dating back to Hero’s Journey. Gold claimed that she wanted to smack Saint across the face to get her to break free of Asmodeus, but acknowledged that Saint could do it now. Gold waited for Saint’s response, but it was immediately interrupted by The Congregation, consisting of Asmodeus, Crazy Violet, Jonah Greck, and the COBRA Battalion.
Asmodeus spoke to Gold with conviction, stating that once somebody becomes a member of the Congregation, they may never leave. Unless, there was a deal in place. While Saint stood in the corner, refusing to make eye contact with Asmodeus, the devious leader stated that if Gold were to replace Saint in the group, then ‘My Red Headed Daughter’ would be free of her commitment. Gold watched Saint, who refused to look at either one of them. Before she could say the word, Edward Cronin, Johnny Sykes, and MDK made their way out to the ring. They each tried to deter her from agreeing, but Kaden Farmer II decided to chime in instead.
Showing no remorse for the participants, Farmer announced that a Five on Five Elimination Match will take place at the Crucible..
Asmodeus will team with Crazy Violet, Oliver Bradley, Jacob Fitch, and Jonah Greck to battle Lexi Gold, Edward Cronin, MDK, Johnny Sykes… AND LILLIE SAINT!!!
If Lexi’s team wins, Saint would be allowed to leave the Congregation. Saint remained indifferent upon hearing the news, but finally glanced at a smiling Asmodeus.
Amber Payne Unleashed KAOS on Culver City
In her first singles match of the season, the SWWS Pacific Champion Amber Payne found herself on the receiving end of a near defeat at the hands of the returning Cerys Davies. Davies, fresh off her tour of KWDIAMONDS, managed to catch the Champion off guard several times before the Huntress was able to regain control of the contest. From there, it was all Payne. With her KAOS teammates at ringside, Payne easily lifted Davies up and over with the Payne Killer for an emphatic three count.
After the contest, Payne talked about Frankie Fontaine. Despite the small dose of exposure to her foe at the Legacy Gauntlet, the Champion gladly called out Fontaine. As soon as the audience realized that Fontaine wasn’t in attendance, Payne laughed it off and said Fontaine will have to wait in the back of the line. She then stated that she would take on anyone who was in the arena right now.
This brought out JOSIE GREY!! The crowd erupted in cheers for Grey who immediately hit the ring and went to town on the Champion. The numbers game started up, however, as Davina Knox, Kylie Ravers, and Nikki Payne wore down Grey’s assault by pummeling her to the canvas. Nikki stood tall over Grey, reaching for Grey’s eyepatch…LEADING TO ALL HELL BREAKING LOOSE!! Knox and Ravers immediately exited the ring, pulling out Amber Payne as well. All that was left was Josie Grey and Nikki Payne in the ring. A sickening smile on the face of Grey forced Payne to make the quick exit from the ring as the audience erupted for Grey.
Trigg Boards The Rig
At ringside, Board Member Veronica Landis received a text message and had to excuse herself. Upon reaching the destination, Derek Trigg immediately grabbed her hand, pulling her to the parking lot. Reaching a gigantic bus, Veronica looked at Trigg in confusion, only for the Aussie native to sing “I’ll Be Your Hero” to her. He said that he will travel to each town, getting fan support one by one until he gets his match with Halvorsen. Rather than going alone, however, he brought Veronica into the bus to go on the tour with him. Despite her asking him to let her off, the bus began to take off as Trigg can be heard shouting “Onto San Diego!!! Onto Phoenix!!! Onto Graceland!!!”
The Gauntlet Was Run
A video plays for Jacob Striker. He talked about his victory in the Legacy Gauntlet by eliminating FUMIHIKO in the end. Despite being proud of his victory, he said there was more that needed to be done on the road to T3. While he didn’t know who Kristjan Halvorsen was before, he found out when Halvorsen walked out of New York City with the SWWS World Heavyweight Championship.
Justin Shane & Jake Smith Qualify for the T3 Tournament!
A team that made it to the finals of last year’s T3, the team of Justin Shane and Jake Smith punched their ticket to return to the tournament with a victory over The Vilaro Legion. Despite the success earlier in the night when Team Vilaro and The Darkness merged into a megastable, Miguel and Lorenzo struggled to keep Smith and Shane from steamrolling them. Marisol Vilaro, who was at ringside for her guys, reprimanded them throughout the contest as she stood beside Nicholas Gabriel and Tyrone. The end for The Legion came as Smith delivered the final blow with the diving kneelift for the victory.
After the contest, Vilaro warned Miguel and Lorenzo that they weren’t the only team in this group and she needed winners. Would this spell the end for The Vilaro Legion?
SWWS World Champion Emmanuelle & Dr. Runa Olsen Meet Face To Face
In the most anticipated moment of the night, we finally had a chance to see the World Champion go face to face with the winner of this year’s Paradigm Gauntlet. As the two stood in the middle of the ring, the mixed chants from the audience were very evident. Olsen was the first to speak, saying that she took the long route to T3, starting at the 2021 Legacy Gauntlet. The first ever SWWS Pacific Champion, Olsen informed Emmanuelle that she fought some of the toughest SWWS had to offer, reminding her that may have taken four people to get a title off of her, but it will take just one for her to win. The Champion made her rebuttal, stating that she was trained and mentored by some of the best professional wrestling had to offer. The pressure was never easy for the Champion, but it was something that she thrived on.
Furthermore, Emmanuelle stated that defeating Seung and Ava at Homecoming was a huge moment for her career, but it wasn’t the only one. Multiple Championships held, Huge Match after Huge Match, she stated that she wasn’t an up and comer, but just hitting her stride.
Olsen acknowledged Emmanuelle, reminding her that she just defeated some of those big names that battled Emmanuelle in the past while eliminating them in the Legacy Gauntlet. It wouldn’t be destiny that brought the two together at T3, but the hard work and dedication from them both to create one of the most anticipated matches in SWWS history.
Watching on the monitor were Marisol Vilaro, Veronica Taylor, and Chantay Lavoie. Vilaro, still seething from her team’s loss earlier and being eliminated from the Gauntlet last month, glared with disgust at the monitor as Olsen and Emmanuelle shook hands in the middle of the ring to a chorus of cheers as the show went off the air.
