Special Pre-Show Contest - Gateway Match
(With fans having finished filing into Goliath Studios, cameras cut to the back where we quickly get a glance at the special commentary team and announcer for the Gateway pre-show match. Hina, better known as White Rose, gives a little wave, nudging the adorable tandem of Mei Koyama and Terumi Niki so they do the same before cameras head back to ringside.)
White Rose (over the PA): The following is a pre-show Gateway tag match scheduled for one fall to a finish! Making their way to the ring first, they come from Rustavi, Georgia and Grozny, Russia.. Combining tonight at 318 pounds, they are the team of VAAAAAAAAALLLLLEEEEEERRRRRRIIIII GEEEEELLLLLAAAASSSSSHHHHHVVIIIIIILLLLLIIIIII AND GAAAAALLLIIIIIIINNNAAAAA DAAAAAAAVVVIIIIIIIIIDDDDOOOOOOOOOVVVAAAAAAA!!!
Mei Koyama: Good talking Hina! How you do that?
White Rose: I...read the paper..
(With the announcement, ‘Альфа ромео + бета джульетта’ begins to be heard on the sound system, the warrior tandem of Davidova and Gelashvili making their way out, scoping the crowd who greet them with a warm respectful reception.)
Mei Koyama: Oh my GOD THEY BIG!! SO TALL!
Terumi Niki: I know! You know too Mei! They train in House of Paine so they big and tough! Paper says they do the mama and kickboxing before coming to wrestling!
White Rose: That says MMA, Terumi.
(With the microphone catching a strange sound of rustling papers, both Galina and Valeri look back in unison confused. Both shrug it off though, making their way into the ring over the middle rope with ease simultaneously. They head to the center, raising their arms before heading over to the corner, staring down the stage in wait.)
White Rose (over the PA): Their opponents now making their way to the ring. From Tepic, Mexico and Santa Tecla, El Salvador.. They combine to weigh in at 281 pounds, the team of CAAAAAASSSAAAANNDRRRRAAAA RIIIIIIIIIVVVVAAAAASSS AND DAAAAANNNIIIEEEEELLAAAA HEEEEERRRRRRRRRRREEEEERRRRRAAAA!!!
(‘Levantate’ begins to play across the studio now, the fans cheering a bit louder as the lively team of Cassandra and Daniela make their way out. With a swivel of the hips, they strike a pose together at the stage before making their way down to the ring.)
Terumi Niki: They small! You correct this to me too, Hina?
White Rose: Well, they are small, but you are two smaller people than they are. You both know best size does not matter with body, but with spirit.
Mei Koyama: I have spirit 3,000 CENTIMETERS!
White Rose: Yes you do, Mei. Now we see who has bigger spirit tonight!
(Rivas and Herrera slide into the ring, not backing up as their opponents step to the middle to meet them. The official backs the two teams up to their corners, signaling for the bell to sound off and get this Gateway match started.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Galina Davidova & Valeri Gelashvili vs. Cassandra Rivas & Daniela Herrera
(The teams each confer with one another in their respective corners and after a fist bump, Galina heads to the center of the ring, with Valeri stepping out to the apron cheering her on. Cassandra hugs Daniela and heads to the middle of the ring to meet with the larger opponent. They bump fists in a show of sportsmanship. The niceties die a quick death as Galina turns Cassandra inside out with a big thunderous lariat. The fans cheer in approval as she stands over the smaller woman with a smirk.)
Mei Koyama: OH SHE DEAD! HER HEAD!
Terumi Niki: Why you yell?!
Mei Koyama: WRESTLING!! This is fun!
(Galina pulls Cassandra up by her long curly locks, lifting her smaller opponent up and actually doing a couple squats before she drops her back down with a big scoop slam. She runs to the ropes, bounces off them and leaps up with a giant leg drop but Cassandra manages to roll out of the way. Galina yells in pain as she lands right on her tailbone. Cassandra gets to her feet, doing her best to shake the effects of the slam off and begins laying in some stiff kicks to Galina’s chest, the crack of them echoing throughout the studio and eliciting oofs from the audience.)
Terumi Niki: Big kicking kicks! Cassandra tough legs! I am more tough!
White Rose: This is not a contest Terumi.
Mei Koyama: Yes it is! Silly sister Hina, they wrestling!!
White Rose: I give up...
(Cassandra goes for another kick, but Galina with an impassioned growl catches her leg and stands up with it. Cassandra hops on one foot, going for an enziguri, but Davidova ducks it. She locks in an ankle lock that has Cassandra screaming in pain. As Rivas desperately tries to reach for the ropes, Galina takes it one step further and begins lifting and bashing her leg into the mat while still twisting on the ankle. Daniela yells to the referee to stop it, but can only watch the assault continue as Galina drags Cassandra to her corner and tags in Valeri. The two lift Cassandra up with the greatest of ease, dropping her to the canvas hard with a double delayed flapjack. Davidova steps out to the apron while Valeri goes for the cover.)
ONE! TWO!
Terumi Niki: Wow this pin so close!
(Rivas barely gets the shoulder up, immediately doing her best to cover her injured ankle as Valeri rises to her feet and starts stomping away at it. Cassandra does her best to crawl to her corner, but Valeri now takes hold of her long mane, sneering at Daniela as she locks in a standing sleeper hold, shoving her foot into the damaged knee to drop Cassandra down to one knee and keeping the pressure there and on the ankle with her other leg.)
Terumi Niki: Oh no! This very bad! Cassandra need tagging now to Daniela!
(The pain on Cassandra’s face is evident, and she is fading fast but she refuses to tap. The official goes to check her arm, but she defiantly waves the referee off. Rivas struggles to try and free herself again before letting out a pained scream and whipping herself back, colliding her head into Valeri’s face with a wicked headbutt that gets the crowd cheering.)
Mei Koyama: GO! TAG! GO TAG NOW!
Terumi Niki: This is really, really tough fight! Go fighting!
(Finally free, Cassandra gets just enough space and dives for her corner, tagging in Daniela. As Rivas crawls under the rope, nursing her ankle, Daniela charges head full of steam. She races over to the opposing corner, knocking Galina off the apron with a stiff forearm. She then rushes the staggering Valeri, taking her down with a bulldog. She yells out to the crowd to pump them up as she goes for the cover. Before the official can even get into position, Galina is back in the ring, clocking her in the back of the head with a deadly kick. Herrera is out of it as she’s dragged up by her hair. Davidova wastes no time in hoisting her up and whipping her hard against the canvas with a powerbomb. Showcasing her strength, Galina keeps hold and lifts her back up once again, yelling for Valeri to get into position as she does. Gelashvili is perched at the top, touching her bloody nose a few times before leaping from the turnbuckle. She takes the prone Daniela down, the team having hit their variation of the Steinerizer. Valeri goes for the pin as Galina cuts off Cassandra at the pass.)
ONE! TWO! THREE!!
(DING DING DING!!)
White Rose (over the PA): Here are your winners of this match GAAAAAAAAAAALLLLIIIIIINNNAAA DAAAAAAAAVVVVIIIIIIIIDDOOOOOOVVVAA AND VAAAAAALLLLEEEEERRRRIIIIII GEEEELLLAAAAAAASSHHHVVVIIIILLLIIIII!!
Mei Koyama: Such good job! We win next, yes?
Terumi Niki: Yes we do! Then we go to big match gauntlet and win title too! I toss you Hina!
White Rose: Yeah good luck with that idea, Terumi.
Mei Koyama: I do it sister Hina?
White Rose: No.. Thank you so much fans for joining us for fun talk and great match!
(Just as Galina and Valeri finish their celebration in the ring, cameras cut over to the back where we see the executives of SWWS heading down the corridor towards the parking lot to meet up with security. Upon opening the door, they see an agitated looking Don Tirri. While Morgan goes to step up to him, Akiko puts a stop to that with the gentlest of gestures before walking up to the man as if she wasn’t a foot plus shorter.)
Akiko Igarashi: Hello Don.
(The big finn looks down on her, frowning. It had been a long day already for him, and here he was, at the place where his son was hospitalized not too long ago. To say that he was agitated was underselling it.)
Don Tirri: Do I know you? Mr. Morgan is the one I have business with.
Akiko Igarashi: Not yet, we will soon though. My name is Akiko. I am the executive of the Paradigm brand and the one overseeing the show tonight. So while you and Mr. Morgan normally have business, tonight it will be with me. So please, let us talk.
(Tirri looked down on the small woman, eyebrow raised. It wasn’t the welcome he had been expecting.)
Don Tirri: Miss Igarashi, with all due respect. I am hardly here to talk. I assume you know what happened on the last show. And how it pertains to me. I am here for one purpose, and one purpose alone. To get even with those two fuckers who put my kid in the hospital.
(A pained look flashes on his face as he says this and you can see him clench his fists nigh-instinctively.)
Don Tirri: But in the interest of politeness, talk. I’ll promise to listen, but nothing more.
Akiko Igarashi: Thank you.
(While offering a smile, the sigh that follows tells the tale of the tiniest hint of nerves.)
Akiko Igarashi: I do know what happened at the last show and honestly I can not blame you for being here tonight. I am not a wrestler like you are, but I am a mother and a very protective one at that who has gotten a second chance to reconnect with her daughter. Like your son, my daughter is a wrestler. I mean, presently she is on pregnancy leave but she has been in this business for thirteen years now and every time she went out there, I felt myself ready to jump in and help.
(Another sigh came from the executive now, but she did her best to keep going.)
Akiko Igarashi: I know this may not seem like much, but even when what happened to your son happened, I stood up ready to see what could be done. Because any child getting hurt is a nightmare, especially a good one who is respectful like your son is. However, here tonight you will not find what you are looking for. Since you are not contracted with the company you wouldn’t know, so I understand the confusion, but Paradigm is the show for our female competitors. The only men here are officials, executives and those who manage. Aoki and Endo are not here. The only Kazoka representatives present are three of the ladies in the eight woman tag, the SpeedStar Champion set to main event in a showcase match, and a special guest. The remaining ladies are with SWWS.
(You could see the knuckles of the big man turn white as he ground his teeth.)
Don Tirri: So let me get this straight: There is nobody here responsible for those two? Hell. I’ve half a mind to send my message through a proxy. Maybe having… “words” with a Kazoka representative would convince them it’s in their best interest to just bring me BLOOD.
(Tirri grumbles under his breath before sighing and looking down on the smaller woman.)
Don Tirri: So what do you suggest Ms. Igarashi? Do you expect me to just… I don’t know, walk away after I came this far? Even if the responsible parties aren’t present… A message needs to be sent.
Akiko Igarashi: Nobody who manages them or handles their affairs is here. If they were, I would personally walk you to them myself. However the only ones here are the ladies and I do not think it would be right to try and send a message through them since they are innocent in all this. I will paint a picture of them. The three girls in that tag team match are teenagers, they came here and love it so much they want to stay. They go to high school here and are probably stretching while singing to music as we speak. The champion, while she is more…aggressive in nature, is barely a woman herself, feeling like she is a target of hate without getting to show who she is. Only one of the girls wrestling is taller than me and not by much. Is this how you want to send the message? I understand your anger. Please know that I do. But as a mother, I have to protect those children too, just as I wish I could have helped your son. Even if I would have ended up hurt. I’d much rather that. So you can…you can even use me for this if you wish instead.
(Processing the words told to him, you can see Don go through a gamut of emotion. From frustration to anger to sadness and finally acceptance. His shoulders slump as he deflates and mumbles under his breath.)
Don Tirri: Fine. I guess I would be a major hypocrite if I went after someone not involved. I yield, Ms. Igurashi. You’ve made your point.
(He pauses for a moment, then looking up at her, with a small fire brimming in his eyes.)
Don Tirri: But do tell whoever the Kazoka representative here is tonight that I will be back. At the Legacy Gauntlet there will be no excuses from anyone. If necessary I’ll grab a chair and plant myself into the middle of the ring until BLOOD responds to my summons. And may god have mercy on the souls of anyone who try to eject me. Do I make myself clear?
(Giving a nod of understanding, Akiko smiles warmly.)
Akiko Igarashi: Absolutely. If you need anything when it comes to that time, I will gladly help as well. I appreciate you speaking with me on this and wish you well. Hopefully next time we meet will be under better circumstances.
(Feeling a bit better now, the sigh exhaled is one of relief. Akiko quietly extends her hands for a gesture of good faith. Tirri takes the hand and gives it a firm shake, keeping eye contact with the smaller woman as he does. After that, he turns around and heads to the parking lot. Akiko looks on with a smile before heading back to the corridor as the distant cameras cut away from the scene. With cameras cutting away from the backstage area, the fans cheering on as the countdown begins.)
“10!”
“9!”
“8!”
“7!”
“6!”
“5!”
“4!”
“3!”
“2!”

(Loud Biohazard Siren takes over the speakers momentarily, leading into the video playing over the wall. A loud percussion precedes each of the words on the screen.)
“The..”
(Slow motion footage of several Paradigm wrestlers are shown inside of the ring.)
“Paradigm..”
(Darkened footage of Ava sitting in the locker room.)
“Has…”
(Footage of the Crimson Bouquet standing at the top of the stage.)
“Shifted.”
(Dark Maiden delivers a Rope Hung Tornado DDT on Autumn Dusk.)

(Seung delivers a running penalty kick across the side of Lillie Saint’s back.)
“This is for real, I don't know where we are”
(A snap Powerslam from Ava to Kathryn Jardine.)

(YOKAI applies a vicious cross-armed submission to Alandra.)

(A discus lariat from Athena Daze collides with Masumi Sun.)
“Wooo, Follow me!”
(The Inevitable, Alandra and Kimberly Chase taunt the fans on the way to the ring.)
“Once inside Fight back cause you can't run & hide”
(Dark Maiden leans in the ropes, stalking her opposition during their entrance.)
“Wooo, Can't break me!”
(Crimson Bouquet members Lillie Saint and Crazy Violet deliver a double superkick to Kamari.)
“Waste no time, no harm, no crime”
(Several quick shots of Ava, Kamari, Amber Payne, Dark Maiden, Lillie Saint, Kimberly Chase, Alandra,YOKAI and Seung wrap up the video prior to explosions arriving on the stage to welcome us to PARADIGM!!!)
(The music continues to play throughout the sound system as the camera pans around. First to the ring where the announcer and referee are stationed and ready to go. Next to the executives table where we see Banch Morgan, Akiko Igarashi, and Eugene Youngblood just now being seated. Finally we make it over to the announcers area with Dilan Valentine, Leo Criss and Lori Swick.)
Dilan Valentine: Welcome one and all to the second ever episode of SWWS Paradigm! Joining me as always are the phenomenally intelligent Lori Swick, the polarizing but punctual Leo Criss and man do we have quite the show for you tonight!
Lori Swick: Yes we do Dilan, not only do we have another showcase match courtesy of the Kazoka office, but we’ll also be feeling the fallout from what happened at our last broadcast and see where the winding road to the Legacy Gauntlet takes our incredible athletes here.
Leo Criss: ...The hell you mean polarizing and punctual?
Dilan Valentine: Now let’s take it to ringside with our opening match that will have huge implications heading into the Legacy Gauntlet!
(Leo Criss looks on at his colleague irritated and nearly disgusted before the cameras cut back over to the ring where the announcer is in place, ready to kick off the night’s festivities.)
Ring Announcer: The following eight person tag team match is scheduled for one fall with a 15 minute time limit and is your PARADIGM opening contest. The rules of this match state that the winning team will qualify for the first ever Paradigm LEEEEGAAAAACCCYYYY GAAAUUUUUUUNNNNTTLLLEEEEEEETTTTT!
(Mixing strobes of teal and aqua surround the stage as ‘Limitless’ begins to play on the sound system. A mixed reaction greets the Welsh mystic as she makes her way onto the stage, a devious smirk on her face. She blows a silver kiss to those in attendance before removing her like colored hood and begins her way towards the squared circle.)
Ring Announcer: Making her way to the ring first, hailing from Swansea, Wales and weighing in tonight at 155 pounds, she is CEEEEERRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYSSSSS DAAAAAAAVVVVIIIEEESS!!!
Leo Criss: Cerys is coming off a big win at the last Blitzkrieg in the Gateway showcase match, can she make it two for two and stamp her ticket to the Legacy Gauntlet?
(Having made her way to the apron, Cerys again gives that glare to those before her, entrancing some to cheer her louder before stepping into the ring underneath the middle rope and stepping to the center. She gives a small curtsy before a pose as her theme switches over to ‘Champion’, the crowd’s mixed reaction growing louder as the blue shades change to pure green.)
Ring Announcer: Introducing her tag team partner. Coming to us from Baltimore, Maryland and weighing in at 130 pounds.. NIIIIIIIIICCCOOOOOOOLLLLLEEEEEETTTAAAAAAA MEEEEEEYYYEEEERRR!!
(Meyer arrogantly strolls down to the ring, ignoring the crowd and keeping her eyes focused on one of her partners for the match. Nicoletta simply lets out a huff, even seeming displeased with who she’s aligned with, which draws an eye roll from Cerys in the distance.)
Lori Swick: Now you mentioned the momentum Cerys is currently holding Leo, but here is a woman looking to regain hers after a tough loss to Dr. Runa Olsen at the last Paradigm. She’s not alone in this fight, but you know she’s gotta have her own intentions of making sure she’s the one that shines out of her team.
(As Nicoletta meets Cerys in the corner, her music fades to silence for a second. Not long after, ‘Soy Libre’ starts to play, the crowd clapping to the rhythm as Ruby Garner makes her way to the stage, signature purple scarf in hand as she gives a dance to the crowd. A few steps behind, the straight laced Isabel looks on, hand on her hip but smirking.)
Ring Announcer: Their partners in this contest, hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Rio Rancho, New Mexico, at a combined weight of 294 pounds.. they are the team of RUUUUUUUUUBBBBYYYYYYY GAAAAAARRRNNNEEEEERRRR AND IIIIISSSSAAAAABBBEEEEELLLLLL MOOOOOORRRRREEEEEEIIIIIIRRRRRRAAA!!!
(Skipping down to the ring now, Ruby playfully grabs at the arm of Isabel who finally joins her in the act, laughing a little as she does, the fans cheering the two.)
Lori Swick: Now while these are the broadcast debuts for Garner and Moreira, they have been teaming on house shows so they do have a history and the slightly more experienced Ruby has done wonders helping the boxer Isabel get acclimated to professional wrestling. We’ll see how that factors into tonight’s big match.
(Now joining their partners, Ruby and Isabel offer fists bumps, to which Cerys obliges and Nicoletta simply turns away from. Moreira steps up to her but Ruby holds her partner back, doing her best to diffuse the situation. As their theme fades, the lights shift to a soft shade of blue, white strobes circling around the stage as ‘AA’ begins to be heard on the sound system.)
Ring Announcer: Introducing their opponents! First, she hails from Funabashi, Chiba, Japan and weighs in tonight at 138 pounds.. She is the Blue Angel HAAAAAAAAZZZZUUUUUUKKKIIIII SEEEEEKKKKKIIIIIGUUUUCCCCHHHIIII!!
(As the upbeat rhythm kicks in, Hazuki Sekiguchi makes her way onto the stage. Reaching out to those who await her, she brings her hand to her heart, giving a bow before raising herself and her arms high in victory, the fans cheering her on. Lowering them, she heads down the rampway, giving appreciative nods to each side.)
Dilan Valentine: While she’s looking happy here, you know deep down Hazuki is focused on making up for her loss at the last Paradigm here tonight.
Leo Criss: Very true. She had an impressive showing against Dark Maiden but fell just short and she can’t afford that with entry into the Legacy Gauntlet on the line.
(Climbing up to the apron, she stands on the second turnbuckle to her right, surveying the crowd before jumping into the ring. The lights in the arena shift to different shades of purple and yellow, the crowd erupting as the cringe-inducing yet adorable sounds of ‘Love Love Sugar’ begin to be heard over the sound system. Seconds later, the purple and yellow balls of energy make their way to the stage, playing Patty Cake to the beat of the song before striking a back to back peace sign pose.)
Ring Announcer: Introducing her partners, first fighting out of Date, Fukushima, Japan and weighing in at a combined 208 pounds.. They are the team of TEEEEEEERRRUUUUUUMMIIII NIIIIIIKKIIII AND MEEEEEEIIIIII KOOOOYYAAAAAMMMAA!!!!
(Hearing their names announced, the two excitedly point at themselves, point out to Hazuki in the ring who smiles, and then one another before locking arms and happily skipping down the aisleway, waving to the adoring fans as the perky lights continue strobing and pulsating to the sweet dance beat.)
Leo Criss: Oh God I need migraine medication, and to check my A1C levels.
Lori Swick: Oh that is mean. What is your issue with Mei and Terumi? Do you hate fun Leo?
Leo Criss: No! I love fun, I’m the most fun guy ever! I just.. I think it’s the music.
(Reaching the bottom of the rampway, the two unlock arms and give each other a double high five before hopping onto the apron simultaneously. Giving more waves to the fans, the two stand up and face the inside of the ring. Bowing their heads against the top rope, they each take a moment before springing back to life and using the bottom rope to hop into the ring. Blowing kisses to the fans, their focus shifts to their opponents for the evening and then their partner Hazuki who they both give hugs.)
Ring Announcer: And their tag team part…
(Before the ring announcer can continue, little Mei walks up, tapping the shoulder before politely motioning for the microphone to which the announcer happily obliges.)
Dilan Valentine: Oh no....
Mei Koyama: HIIIII EEEEVVVVEEEEERRRRRYYYYY PEEEEERRRRRSSSOOOOOONNN!! I am MEI! This HAZUKI! This TERUMI! We here to win match today and go to Legacy Gaun..te...let!! We missing partner so I say to you who partner is!!
Terumi (off-mic): No Mei! It is surprise! Music play, she come out, crowd go woo!
Mei Koyama: OHHHH!!! Okay! I give microphone back, you shh ring person and then music play! Crowd go woo! Enjoy our partner! She is the BEST!! Now go woo!
(Handing the microphone back, the ring announcer steps back into position as the lights all around the arena darken, with only a midnight blue spotlight on the stage illuminating. The soft tones of ‘Shadowlord’ begin to echo, fans looking on in anticipation. A masked, cloaked figure makes their way into the light, a hand reaches out to the masses, before pulling back hovering just in front of the mask. As the beat shifts to an upbeat cover of ‘Tetris Theme A/Korobeiniki’ the lighting all around turns to a faded blue. The mask and cloak are then removed in a flash, the fans erupting in a near frenzy at the smiling woman revealed.)
Ring Announcer: And finally, their tag team partner.. She comes to us from Zushi, Kanagawa, Japan and weighs in tonight at 124 pounds.. Representing LEVEL UP WRESTLING, she is one half of their Multiplayer Champions.. AAAAAAAAAHHHHMMMMYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAA!!!!!
(The energetic raindrop dressed in white excitedly makes her way down the ramp, slapping hands with fans along the way as Goliath Studios continues to cheer her at wild volumes. Hopping onto the apron, Ahmya gives a wave to all around before stepping towards the closest turnbuckle to her right. Right on cue with the song kicking up in tempo again, the mysterious young woman climbs up, taking a seat on the top turnbuckle, her gaze focused on the masses who continue to cheer her on.)
Lori Swick: You can see the full outpour of emotion from the fans here seeing Ahmya tonight making her debut for SWWS in a huge eight woman tag team match. Just because she’s new here though doesn’t mean she’s not a credible athlete as she’s held gold in every single company she’s ever been a part of in her seven year career so far! Massive coup for SWWS!
(Soon after giving a quick wink, she hops down, entering the ring and giving a bow of respect in the middle before placing her mind on the upcoming task. She flashes one final smile, this one filled with confidence, as the lighting returns to normal and her music fades to silence.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Mei Koyama, Terumi Niki, Hazuki Sekiguchi & Ahmya vs. Cerys Davies, Nicoletta Meyer, Isabel Moreira & Ruby Garner
Dilan Valentine: I still honestly can’t believe my eyes. What a massive surprise partner and talent acquisition for SWWS here in Ahmya!
Lori Swick: Like I said before Dilan, she is an amazing competitor with a heart of gold and to those who don’t know her just yet, you’ll find you’re in for a treat!
Dilan Valentine: That’s not taking away from any of the others in this match too, as they are all awesome in their own right, this was just such a shock!
(The official calls for two competitors to start the match off, with Nicoletta yelling that it should be her and Ruby stepping in, completely ignoring her. On the other end Ahmya offers, but Hazuki respectfully requests the ring and her partners let her go for it. Sekiguchi and Ruby circle the ring before locking up in the center. Garner surprises Hazuki by taking control early with a wristlock, transitioning to a hammerlock. Sekiguchi gives a smirk though, stepping to the side and hooking the arm of her opponent before transitioning into a judo toss that brings her down to the canvas. She keeps hold of the arm, laying in a couple kicks before tagging in Mei. Koyama springs to life with a blink and you miss it basement dropkick before tagging in Terumi who does the same in a flash.)
Lori Swick: This is the quick offense normally reserved for the SpeedStar division, and you can tell why both Terumi and Mei are rising stars in it, with Hazuki impressing as well.
(Clapping her hands together and giving a playful thumbs up right after, Niki hasn’t realized that Ruby has tagged out. Bouncing off the ropes looking to continue the punishment, she’s met instead with an impressive snap powerslam from the legal woman Cerys Davies, which looks to have driven all the air out of Terumi. Just as Cerys looks to capitalize on the prone Terumi with her running senton, she feels a sharp slap on the back. The official calls for her to leave the ring and she turns around to see Nicoletta Meyer motioning for her to get out and leave it to her.)
Dilan Valentine: Cerys does not look too happy with that blind tag there by Nicoletta. These four really need to get it together if they want any chance at winning.
(Davies angrily shouts at her partner and shoves her back before stepping out to the apron. The slight stumble is all that Terumi needed, meeting Meyer with an enziguri to the back of the head taking her down. Niki wisely rolls over to her corner, tagging in Ahmya who gets a huge reaction. Meyer stumbles up but is brought right back down with a springboard clothesline from the champion. Ahmya rushes over to enemy territory, knocking Moreira off the apron with a pump kick, before rocking Ruby with a spinning back kick, taking her down too. She goes for Cerys but Davies simply hops off. Shrugging, Ahmya turns back around to nail Nicoletta with a low dropkick, bringing her to a knee before spiking her head to the canvas with a hurricanrana driver before pointing to the turnbuckle which gets a loud pop from the fans.)
Lori Swick: Any fan of Ahmya’s knows what the signal means, she’s looking to bring forth Hail’s Blessing onto Nicoletta and Meyer is in serious trouble here.
(Hazuki, Mei, and Terumi take care of the other three on the outside with jumping crossbodies as they try to run interference. Perched with a smile, Ahmya gives a quick salute before leaping with graceful ease, coming down to the prone Nicoletta with a stiff Hail’s Blessing. The crowd are going absolutely nuts over the impact of the 360 degree stomp as Ahmya goes for the cover.)
ONE! TWO! THREE!
(DING DING DING!!!)
Ring Announcer: Here are your winners of the match and moving on to the LEGACY GAUNTLET, the team of HAAAAZZZUUUUKKKIIIII, TEEEEERRRRRUUUUUUMMMIIIII, MEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIII AND AAHHHHHMMMMYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
(Ahmya gets her hand raised by the official, but is quickly tackled to the canvas by an insanely excited Mei who gives her a huge hug. She is quick to return the gesture, the two soon joined by Terumi and Hazuki who look all sorts of thrilled as the fans show their love for all four of the victorious women.)
Dilan Valentine: What an impressive win here for the team of Mei, Terumi, Hazuki and the debuting Ahmya!
Leo Criss: Very true, but you know all the hugging stops come Legacy Gauntlet because it will be every woman for herself in that match.
Lori Swick: Speaking of which, it looks like we’re being taken to the back where the Paradigm stars are drawing their numbers for the historic contest.
(The visual shifts to the backstage area where it appears that Michelle Jenkins and Seung are throwing a fit, while Dr. Runa Olsen looks shocked, and both Ava and Athena Daze appear amused.)
Dr. Runa Olsen: Look, all I did was pull out a number like you.
Michelle Jenkins: No you didn’t, you cheated!
Seung: Exactly, all of us just happened to draw worse numbers than you? The fancy new girl with her dumb old doctorate? No, you don’t get to have that number. Right?
(Seung and Michelle look over to Athena Daze and Ava who simply share a smirk and shrug.)
Athena Daze: I don’t know about you, but I’m damn fine with what I picked out.
Ava: I’m right there with you and it looks like we got a good chance of settling our score, if you last.
Athena Daze: I’ll see you there, trust me. You girls, well you can argue all you want.
(Both Seung and Michelle look offended as Daze and Ava make their way out of the room. Dr. Olsen looks to do the same, but is stopped by Jenkins.)
Michelle Jenkins: Oh no, we’re not done here. I demand a match with you for your number.
Seung: You demand? Oh no honey, I will demand this match.
Dr. Runa Olsen: If you both want this number so badly, fine. Earn it. If the boss says it’s okay, I’ll see you out there.
(Just as the good doctor stares down Michelle and walks by her, a loud bang can be heard from afar. Cameras hurriedly shift over to outside of the arena, we get a close up of the outside bay door. It appears to be severely damaged from a strike against it. Standing next to the door is Don Tirri. He glares down at the damage done to it, shaking his foot to get some feeling into it. He begins to pace back and forth, favoring his foot with each step.)
Dilan Valentine (V.O.): It appears that it was Don Tirri that caused the damage to the door of Goliath Studios.
Lori Swick (V.O.): I hope he didn’t hurt himself, he’s limping a little bit.
(Tirri continues pacing, demanding non-verbally to be let inside of the arena. He slows himself down, glancing away from the camera.)
Don Tirri: What took you so long?
(Casually walking up towards Tirri is Johnny Sykes. Sykes, on social media, told Tirri that he would help the man get into the arena to get answers. Tirri doesn’t appear to be impressed by the tardiness, gingerly approaching the Marine.)
Johnny Sykes: Sorry, I was scoping out the perimeter. Nothing out of the ordinary, oddly enough.
Don Tirri: How are we getting in there?
Johnny Sykes: It can’t be that hard. All we have to do is ask.
Don Tirri: I did ask.
(A simple glare comes from Sykes at Tirri.)
Johnny Sykes: You asked?
Don Tirri: Define ask.
(Glancing past Tirri at the door, Sykes notices the damage.)
Johnny Sykes: I’m stunned you couldn’t get in. You have to remember, these guys are on high alert after what happened to Kamari.
Don Tirri: Were they on high alert when my son was attacked?
Johnny Sykes: Don, we’re ALL on high alert. We just need to convince them that we are the good guys here. THAT doesn’t show we’re the good guys. We have to talk to them. Follow my lead.
(Sykes tries to convince Tirri, who eventually agrees to go with him. They approach the main door, promptly stopped by three security guards.)
Security Guard: No men allowed tonight. Tonight is Paradigm, and the only men allowed in are officials, executives, and managers.
Johnny Sykes (whispering to Tirri): Sexist assholes..
Security Guard: State your business, not you Tirri.
Johnny Sykes: Hey now. Let me ask you a question, if you don’t mind. Terrence, is it?
(The security guard nods to Sykes.)
Johnny Sykes: Hi Terrence. Are you a father?
Security Guard: I have a daughter at home.
Johnny Sykes: That’s beautiful, and I’m sure you’d do anything you can for her safety, right? It just so happens, Don Tirri is also a father. He’s made some mistakes in his life, but has been doing an amazing job in rekindling the relationship with his son, Donny. You know Donny Mason, right?
(Again, the security guard nods.)
Johnny Sykes: Donny was attacked on Blitzkrieg, and obviously has upset Mr. Tirri here. I’m not saying that he’s perfect, but neither am I. We just want to make sure that everybody is safe and sound inside of the arena tonight. Maybe we can go in and take a look around?
(Some uneasy feelings resonate with the security guard, who is eyeballing Tirri.)
Security Guard: Johnny, is it? Hi Johnny, do you have something important to you that you would guard with your life?
Johnny Sykes: Always.
Security Guard: That’s beautiful, and I’m sure you would stop every single thing from stopping you from guarding it.
Johnny Sykes: Yes..
Security Guard: So you know that MY job means to ensure the safety for every single person who steps into the arena tonight. I will not sacrifice my job and moral judgement by having unauthorized people walking in when they aren’t welcome. Johnny, your answer is no. Absolutely not. I have strict orders coming from Akiko and Mr. Morgan to keep everyone else out!
(Confused, Sykes glances at a fuming Don Tirri. Realizing he was in trouble, Sykes looks back at the security guard.)
Johnny Sykes: I understand how important this is to you. However, there are people inside of that arena that are important to us as well.
Security Guard: Then I suggest you let me do my job.
Johnny Sykes: Excuse me, I just want you to let us in. Do I ne-..
Security Guard: That’s final!
Johnny Sykes: No, it is-..
Security Guard: It’s final, Johnny.
Johnny Sykes: But I just w-..
(The security guard goes to speak up.)
Johnny Sykes: Don’t you dare interrupt me. I’m just a-
Security Guard: FINAL!!!
Johnny Sykes: ASSHOLE!!!
(The security guard quickly walks back into the building. Sykes is stewing in frustration at the rejection. Tirri glares over at him, with Sykes trying to cool himself down.)
Johnny Sykes: Okay, that went well.
(Tirri goes back to pacing, while Johnny glances down at the dent in the door.)
Johnny Sykes: I GOT IT! Dude, we got this! Come on!
(Tirri’s eyes light up like fire, facing Sykes who begins to walk away.)
Don Tirri: Sykes.. Where are you going?
Johnny Sykes: I have the perfect plan!
(Hesitant on the plan, Tirri slowly begins to follow Sykes as the camera fades out to head back to ringside. Standing by is the ring announcer ready to proceed with the show’s next contest.)
Lori Swick: Well it looks like the proposed match between Dr. Runa Olsen, Michelle Jenkins and Seung have been approved by our Paradigm executive Ms. Akiko Igarashi so let’s get it rolling!
Ring Announcer: This next contest will be a triple threat match scheduled for one fall! The one who scores the pinfall will be receiving the latest entry into the Legacy Gauntlet while the one pinned earns the earliest number! Introducing first, to be accompanied to the ring by Reginald Baroni.. She hails from Yorkshire, England and weighs in at 135 pounds. She is THHHEEEEEE DUUUUUUUTTTCHHHEEESSS OF THE SWWS, MIIIIIIIICHHHEEEEEELLLLLEEE JEEEEENNNKKIIIINNNNSSS!!
(The tune of ‘Aria’ starts to play, immediately bringing out the duo of Michelle Jenkins and Reginald Baroni who are showered with boos and shouts of utter disdain from the crowd. Michelle looks around in mocking shock at their reaction before aggressively shushing the fans which just gets them to react even louder, much to the couple’s chagrin.)
Dilan Valentine: Michelle and Reginald once again earning the pure love and adoration here from the fans in Goliath Studios.
Leo Criss: I swear these crowds get worse and worse with the level of disrespect they show these two!
(Linking arms with Baroni, the two then make their way down the ramp, with Jenkins giving a royal pageant-like wave with her free ramp, bringing forth more jeers. As they reach the bottom of the ramp, Michelle calls for her boyfriend to stay behind as she makes her way up the steps and onto the apron. Michelle adjusts her gear skort and enters the ring underneath the middle rope, making sure no unworthy eyes get a look at her assets. She then walks to the center of the ring, striking a pose which she adamantly states is the best of all, before taking to her corner as her music fades to the infectious beat of ‘Hello Bitches’.)
Ring Announcer: Now introducing the opponents. First, hailing from Busan, South Korea and weighing in at 115 pounds. Being accompanied to the ring by Kim Se-hyung and Park Ji-seok, she is THHHHEEEEEEE BUUUUUUUUUSSSAAAAAAAAAANN BEEEEEEEAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUTTYYYYY, SEEEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUNNNGG!!!
(Lights in varying hues of green and orange flash throughout the arena. The beginning of the lyrics brings the arrival of Seung onto the stage, accompanied by her managers Kim Se-hyung and Park Ji-seok and greeted to a mixed reaction from the fans. With Kim by their side, Seung and Park walk hand in hand down the ramp.)
Leo Criss: See at least some of the people here are smart and showing respect to the Busan Beauty.
Lori Swick: As they should. Seung is quite the competitor and is coming off a win in her SWWS broadcast debut in that great fatal four way. You know she’s looking to build on that and build herself more of an advantage in the Legacy Gauntlet.
(When they reach the ring, Seung jumps up onto the apron with the added lift and support from Ji-seok. She then walks to the corner and does a maneuver around the post before stopping in the middle of the other side. Seung spreads her arms across the top rope and swirls her head down, pointing up at the rafters with her right hand and winking before stepping through the ropes. She does a pose in the center of the ring, as her managers cheer and then turns her attention to the ramp now as her music fades out.)
Ring Announcer: Now introducing the final competitor! About to make her way to the ring, she hails from Oslo, Norway, and weighs in tonight at 119 pounds.. She is the esteemed Doctor.. RUUUUUUUUUUUNNNAAAAAA OOOOOLLLLSSSSEEEENNNN!!
Voice (over the PA): Paging Dr. Olsen! Paging Dr. Olsen! We need you in the O.R. STAT!
(The sound of sirens lead into ‘My Favourite Game’ as the beloved doctor makes her way onto the stage, clad in her lab coat, stethoscope around her neck. Giving a salute to the crowd, she makes her way down to the ring, happily waving and slapping hands with some lucky fans along the way.)
Lori Swick: SWWS’ favorite doctor Runa Olsen has not only grown quite the fanbase, but she has turned a lot of heads in the office with her hard work, dedication and free checkups for her fellow superstars every show! After a very impressive win in her debut, she’s ready to keep it up heading into the Legacy Gauntlet and her chance to become the first World Champion of the Paradigm brand.
Dilan Valentine: She definitely is, and on top of that, you know she’s also looking to keep that lucky number she drew for the gauntlet.
Lori Swick: Too true there, Dilan and.. Wait why are you smiling like that?
Dilan Valentine: You know I’m going to do it, Lori. And.. AND I got the blessing of Runa herself! So.. Ladies and gentlemen, the DOCTOR IS IN!
Lori Swick: Oh lord...
(Giving one last wave to the fans after entering the ring over the middle rope, Dr. Olsen removes her stethoscope and coat, handing it over to the ring attendant as the referee checks all three competitors in order for the match to begin.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Seung vs. Runa Olsen vs. Michelle Jenkins
(The bell doesn’t even finish ringing before both Seung and Jenkins swarm in on Dr. Olsen, clobbering her with strikes and eventually stomps as they get her down to the canvas. Seung drags her up by the blonde ponytail, looking at Michelle with a smirk before she grabs hold as well and they deliver a double snap suplex to the good doctor. After some more stomps and harsh language directed at the fallen physician, the two look down at her, rather pleased with themselves before Seung further directs Michelle to pick Runa back up.)
Dilan Valentine: Well we should have seen this coming from a mile away. They both obviously see the moves Dr. Olsen has made within the company and are looking to derail the doctor’s practice.
Lori Swick: Oh Dilan, no...
(Jenkins lifts the good doctor, hooking her arms as Seung readies herself for the attack. She casually steps up, mocking Olsen before running at her. Runa gets the boot up at the last second, nailing Seung in the midsection before breaking free from Michelle’s grip and connecting with a few forearms to the side of the head. She hooks onto the head of Jenkins, looking for her patented DDT but a Hairpull Backbreaker from Seung dashes any hope for that. The Busan Beauty immediately goes for the cover.)
ONE! TW-
(Seung feels the cover get broken up, looking over in frustration and surprise as Jenkins is right there trying to go for a pin herself. Pushing Michelle off of Runa, Seung yells at her, wondering what the hell she thinks she’s doing. Not one to back down, Jenkins rises to her feet, shoving Seung back. The two trade them back and forth but are interrupted by the recovering surgeon who grips each woman by the back of their head, bringing about a meeting of the minds much to the joy of the sold out crowd. However, before she can capitalize, both loopy foes recover just enough to take her down with a double clothesline.)
Lori Swick: While Seung and Michelle’s alliance are forming quicker cracks than a certain cutesy facade, at the same time they’re doing all they can to cut down at any steam Dr. Olsen tries to build in this one.
(Again Seung and Michelle find each other trading strikes while Runa slowly recovers. Olsen looks to nail a superkick on Jenkins, but she turns around at the last second, ducking the strike which leads Runa to step right into a spinning back fist from Seung which drops her. Seung looks to go back after Jenkins, but Michelle takes a step back, pointing over at the downed doctor and offering her hand to Seung for peace. The Busan Beauty hesitates but ends up shaking it.)
Leo Criss: See and here you thought they couldn’t get along. A common enemy triumphs over all.
(Jenkins pulls Seung in from the handshake, spinning under and dropping back to nail a backstabber on her. The Busan Beauty stumbles back into the waiting arms of Dr. Runa who provides some wicked bedside manner in the form of a Flatliner. Olsen looks to Jenkins who welcomes her to the cover, exiting the ring as the referee gets into position.)
Dilan Valentine: You were saying Leo?
Leo Criss: Whatever...
ONE! TWO! THREE!
(DING DING DING!!!)
Ring Announcer: Here is your winner of the match.. DOOOOOOOOCCCCCCTTTOOOOORRRR RUUUUUUUUNNNNNAAAAAAA OOOOOOOOLLLLLLLSSSSEEEEEEEENNNNN!!
Lori Swick: Well it looks like Dr. Olsen gets to keep her number here, but you also need to hand it to Michelle Jenkins for the strategy. She apparently had the worst number of the three and by way of Seung getting pinned has given herself more of an advantage heading into the match.
Dilan Valentine: Very smart on her end, but you know Seung is going to be furious when she comes to and realizes what happened. Michelle better hope she’s not still in the match when she enters.
(Dr. Runa Olsen continues celebrating her victory while Baroni and Jenkins look on, pleased at their handiwork. Kim and Park are doing their best to tend to Seung while occasionally giving the devious duo on the stage glares as the show cuts to a break.)
(YouTube/Twitch Ad Break featuring SWWS highlights, dates for future live events, and promoting the Legacy Gauntlet event.)
(Cameras cut to an unknown location, a room only illuminated by a few candles. From the opposite end, Kamari slowly steps into frame, her appearance causing the fans to cheer in support. She offers a small smile before giving a quick bow.)
Kamari: Hello to everyone! I am sorry I can not stand with you in the ring but I still give my best to be fully okay before I see you again. I will see you all at Legacy Gauntlet.
(The news of her appearing at the show for certain, brings cheers from the live crowd. Kamari smiles wider now, giggling a little before she continues.)
Kamari: With Legacy Gauntlet, I see chance to be champion, have history made and show I am not victim. I know bad things happen to me, it make me sad, make you sad. I will not let this stop me from giving my best to you all, to the ring. With life almost ending, I see I have to make all days, all seconds have meaning for my heart and my spirit. So I want to keep fighting and before I get chance to be champion.. There is fighting I need to do.
(Thinking over her next words carefully, the super cute rainbow girl lets out the softest of sighs.)
Kamari: Megumi Iwai. You hurt me. Broke my heart. Funny you look like you do this with blessing but I get message from very important person. From our ultimate boss. He no happy with you. Make me think you do something bad. So he say to me that for my honor I am given fight with you. For one night I get to be all of me. Good, bad, light, dark. You do not do anything but take punishment and as fair I will put Legacy chance as the prize. So Megumi, prepare, pray. You do not fight the rainbow, you fight the darkside.
(A somewhat shaky breath escapes Kamari before she gives a confident nod, her facial expression showcasing clear determination.)
Kamari: To people.. enjoy the darkside..and to you, I’m sorry..
(Giving a cute little wave, Kamari blows out the candles cutting the feed of the scene and bringing the focus of the cameras back to ringside.)
Dilan Valentine: Very interesting words there from Kamari who looks like she will be facing off against the woman who has done so much wrong to her over the past few weeks in Megumi Iwai and bringing out the darkside with permission from Kazoka?
Lori Swick: If her calling the darkside is what I think it is Dilan, we’re not going to be seeing the Kamari we’ve come to know.. and Megumi is in for it. Whatever the reason for this being granted by the Kazoka office is up in the air, but we’ll hopefully find out at the Legacy Gauntlet event on September 23rd. For now though, let’s take it to the ring for our next tag team match.
(Back in the ring, the official and announcer are standing by geared up to continue the night’s action with the next match, with one half of the teams, Juri Maou already being inside of the ring not looking too pleased.)
Ring Announcer: This next contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit! Introducing the first team, at a total combined weight of 232 pounds.. AAAAALLLLLLLAAAAAAAANNNNNDDRRAAAAAAA AND JUUUUURRRRIIIIIIIII MAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOUUUUU!!
(Juri yells at the announcer that she better not have her entrance interrupted by anything stupid next time, which causes them to back up, not wanting any part of her tiny wrath. Then of course.. that damn earworm of a song ‘Dead Alert’ begins to make the sound system bleed. Everybody and their mothers groan in frustration before treating the appearing Inevitable’s Mitchell Ryan and Alandra with the loudest boos they can muster as a unit. The blinding strobe lights and lasers flash all around to the sickening beat, before Mitchell Ryan steps out in front of Alandra, the almighty chair in hand like it weighs nothing. He scopes the arena for a moment, delicately placing the mastermind’s throne down in all its glory and heading down the ramp with her.)
Leo Criss: Don’t you even start you damn heathen!
Dilan Valentine: What?! What was I even going to start?
Lori Swick: Look, Dilan just don’t. Don’t talk about the chair. Let’s focus on this tag team match and how hopefully it’ll be more of a contest than the last one involving three of the four women involved.
(Having made their way to the apron, Mitchell easily hoists her up before carefully placing her on the apron. She strikes a pose, finally ready to showcase her perfect entrance, but ends up screaming as she gets cut off by ‘Scary Mask’ which sends the crowd into a frenzy.)
Ring Announcer: Now introducing their opponents! Tonight they stand at a combined weight of 276 pounds, LLIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLIIIIIIIIEEEEEE SSSAAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNTT AND CCRRRRAAAAAAAZZZZYYYY VVIIIIIIIIOOOOOLLLLEEEETTTT, THE CCRRRRRRRRIIIIIIMMMMSSSSOOOOOONN BOOOOUUUUUQQQQQUUUEEEETTTT!!
(Swirling lights of red, blue, green and violet eclipse the strobe lights as the studio fans go ever crazier, the anticipation for the arrival of SWWS’ premier tag team rises. On cue with their theme’s intensity kicking up a step, Crazy Violet and Lillie Saint make their way out, Lillie giving a playful smack to her partner in crime’s shoulder and pointing out how electric the crowd is tonight, to which Violet pays her with her own smack and a nod of agreement. The two dearest friends show their appreciation with smiles before gazing into one another’s eyes and coming together in the most epic pinky square ever. Separating for a second, the two come together in a side by side hug as they make their way down the ramp together, tugging back and forth to show the fans some love.)
Dilan Valentine: Lillie Saint and Crazy Violet, what else can be said about these two that hasn’t already been said? Together they are a force anywhere they grace a ring and apart, they are two of the most talented, underrated competitors in the entire business. You just know that they are looking to prove themselves further tonight like they do every night.
(Reaching the apron, both Violet and Lillie have a seat, Lillie looking to Violet who still seems a bit more confident this time around, as her partner turns her attention to the fans in the loudest section, calling to them off mic “Wish US luck!” Looking back at Violet, she motions that they got this before the two skin the cat and enter the ring. Violet does it almost as easily as she did the last time, while Lillie nearly matches her timing wise. With an emphatic “NICE!” Violet high fives her partner. The two share another laugh and hug before giving a bow as their music fades.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Crimson Bouquet vs. Alandra & Juri Maou
(With the bell sounding, both Violet and Lillie look over to their opponents, calling for one of them to kick things off already. Alandra steps forward, looking ready to go but then backs up.. Again, with both her and Mitchell sharing a laugh. She gives Juri a few taps on the shoulder before exiting the ring much to her partner, and her opponent's annoyance.)
Dilan Valentine: Oh you have got to be kidding me!
Leo Criss: Look Dilan, Alandra is a smart woman. She knows that Kimberly will be returning at the Legacy Gauntlet where the two of them will dominate so she needs to keep herself fresh for that. Eyes on the prize, Valentine!
(Juri Maou can’t help but yell a few words to Alandra who scoots her words away, already making her way to the ramp with Mitchell Ryan following closely behind her. Turning around to Lillie and Crazy Violet, she bites her lip, looking around and shaking her head.)
Juri Maou (off-mic): Okay, okay, okay! I see this, you see this! Just...NOT THE FACE! Thank you!
(Holding her hands up in surrender, Juri turns her back to the team again as they approach. She looks to the referee, motioning him over.)
Juri Maou (off-mic): They gone yet? I win by count-out, yes? Yes?!
(With a shake of the head, Juri angrily walks over and kicks the bottom rope before turning around right into a double superkick from the Crimson Bouquet. Lillie shrugs her shoulders, backing Violet up as she goes for the cover.)
Dilan Valentine: They really need to do something about this. Once was way more than enough.
ONE! TWO! THREE!
(DING DING DING!!!)
Ring Announcer: Here are your winners of the match.. THHHHHHEEEEEEEE CCCCRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIMMMMSSSSSSOOOOOOONNNNN BBOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUQQQQUUEEEEETTTTT!!
Leo Criss: Big win here by..
Dilan Valentine: No, you know what? No. I’m not in the mood for this and I know the fans aren’t either. Funny or not, Alandra can’t keep doing this to partners. I’m sure Lillie and Violet don’t care for the easy victories either, but thankfully with both of them being in the Legacy Gauntlet, they’ll be able to showcase what they can really do instead of this.
(Alandra is seen walking down the hallway following the loss to Crimson Bouquet. She looks to be very frustrated with her disappointing tag team partner. Unbeknownst to her, she’s being followed quickly by Chairman Banch Morgan.)
Banch Morgan: ALANDRA!!!
(Freezing in her tracks, she tries to force out a few tears. Finally getting something, she turns to Morgan.)
Alandra: Dad!!! It was horrible!!
(Noticing the few tears that came out, Morgan began to melt.)
Banch Morgan: Hey, hey calm down. Talk to me.
Alandra: Juri threatened me! I was trying to get the match going and she made some remarks towards me! And then she said that she hated me! And then she said she was going to leave me to have to fight THOSE TWO by myself! And then I felt upset so I left the ring. And then she was being rude to me while I was on the stage! It was horrible!!
(Morgan, looking confused, gives her a pat on the shoulder.)
Banch Morgan: Alandra.. Come on. Don’t be so upset. You have to remember that this is a business, and sometimes you have to team with people that may not like you.
Alandra: I don’t care! She was abusive towards me! You saw it, I know you did!
Banch Morgan: It’s just.. I did see it. What I did see was she was trying to have the match..Then you ditched her for Violet and Lillie to face. Come on..
(Realizing the jig was up, Alandra comes clean.)
Alandra: Okay, fine! I did leave the ring, but I didn’t want to team with her. All she was doing backstage was singing. I hate her singing! It sounds like.. Well, even if it was good, I hated it!! I need to wait for Kimberly to be back, then all of this will be better.
Banch Morgan: You need to remember, Kimberly won’t be back until the Legacy Gauntlet. You can’t keep doing this to people, they’re going to want payback on you for that.
Alandra: I’m sure they do. It won’t matter though. It’s not like I’m going to have to deal with them again..
(Morgan glances away for a moment.)
Banch Morgan: Well..
Alandra: Well..WHAT? What did you do?
Banch Morgan: Both Juri and Justina Jade have been confirmed for the Legacy Gauntlet match.
Alandra: WHAT?? How could you??
Banch Morgan: Come on, we have to give everyone a chance.
(Ready to storm off in anger, Alandra tries pleading with him to change his mind. It doesn’t work.)
Alandra: WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?
Banch Morgan: About thirty minutes ago, before the match. They drew their numbers already.
Alandra: This is disgusting! You’re just going to throw me to the wolves like that?
Banch Morgan: I didn’t say that. In fact, I didn’t see their numbers. I did however pick yours for you, seeing as you are my daughter, and I am your legal guardian until you’re 18.
(Suddenly a smirk arrives on her face.)
Alandra: Oh, nice! Dad, I’m so glad to hear that! You sly, wonderful father you!
(She gives Morgan a playful punch on the shoulder.)
Alandra: So, tell me. What number did I get? I bet it’s number 30! Please tell me it’s number 30!!
(Morgan nods, pulling the piece of paper out of his pocket. He opens the number up, revealing it to her. At first, she’s shocked, but a small smile arrives on her face.)
Alandra: Very funny, take your thumb off of the rest of it. I know there’s a 2 behind that somewhere!
(Morgan removes his thumb from the remaining part of the paper. Alandra looks horrified at her number.)
Alandra: BUT!!! BUT DAD!!!
Banch Morgan: We do things fairly here, Alandra. I know you’re disappointed in the number. Trust me though, you’ll come out of this with a whole new appreciation for your co-workers on the brand.
Alandra: NO! You completely missed the point!
Banch Morgan: I mean, if you don’t like the number… I guess you could trade with Kimberly.
Alandra: Screw that! Nobody wins from #1!!!
(Before he can even respond, Alandra storms off in anger. Morgan folds the paper back up, putting it back into his pocket with a subtle chuckle. The chuckle slowly stops as he notices a huge dent in the door.)
Banch Morgan: MY DOOR!!!
(Akiko darts over to Morgan, noticing the damage to the door as well.)
Banch Morgan: Akiko!!!
Akiko: YOUR DOOR!!!
Banch Morgan: MY DOOR!!!
Akiko: Who did this?
(Morgan, red in the face, glares over at the security guard.)
Banch Morgan: OPEN THE DOOR!!!!
(Reluctant, the security guard slowly opens the door. Upon the door being fully opened, we see two Janitors, kind of. Johnny Sykes is fully dressed as a janitor, while Don Tirri remains in his normal clothes, holding a broom.)
Akiko: Um..
(A cold glare from Morgan turns from the two outside to the security guard.)
Banch Morgan: Close the door…
(The door slowly closes on the two, who haven’t moved a muscle. He looks over at Akiko, then at Veronica who comes running up.)
Banch Morgan: How much did it cost us to have that door?
Veronica: Sixteen thousand dollars..
Banch Morgan: And how much will it cost to have a new door installed?
Veronica: About eight thousand dollars..
(Morgan goes quiet for a moment, glaring over at the two of them.)
Banch Morgan: Fine both men four thousand dollars each.
(Morgan begins to storm off, leaving Akiko and Veronica looking at each other.)
Veronica: Boss, Don Tirri doesn’t work for us!
Banch Morgan (off-screen): SIGN HIM, AND FINE HIM FOUR GRAND!!!
(Akiko casually slips away while Veronica looks over at the door in concern as the shot fades into the commercial break.)
(YouTube/Twitch Ad Break featuring the wonderfully talented Shohei Ohtani.)
(As the executives go to take their places back at the table, the camera cuts back over to the ring announcer who is ready to lead us into the next match.)
Ring Announcer: This next contest is your PARADIGM MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING and is scheduled for one fall with a 20 minute time limit!! Introducing first, from Ramford, England, weighing it at 101 pounds.. she is JUUUUUUUUSSSSTTTTIIIIINNNAAAA JAAAAAAAAADDDDEEEE!!
(The lights in the arena shift to a faded shade of lilac as ‘Ashes’ begins to play across the sound system. As the muffled lyrics turn clear, Justina Jade confidently struts onto the stage, receiving a mixed response, mostly cheers from the crowd in Goliath Studios. She cracks a smile before striking a pose, giving a spin around and strutting down the ramp.)
Dilan Valentine: Justina Jade, who has fought tooth and nail for these chances has a big one here tonight and she was selected to face off against one of the greats in this showcase match. While she may not have the best chance, she won’t take this opportunity lightly and won’t show any fear against Seiya.
(Entering the ring, Justina heads to the center for the photo op as she strikes another pose before motioning for all to kiss it. She walks over, removing her ring jacket and handing it to the attendant. As she gets some stretches done in the corner, the lights in the arena all go dark save for flickering red and purple blending at the stage. The ominous introduction to ‘Deus Ex Machina’ then begins, bringing about an eerie respectful silence.)
Ring Announcer: Introducing next, she hails from Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Japan. Tonight she weighs in at 114 pounds.. She is the KWDIAMONDS SPEEDSTAR CHAMPION... THHHEEEEEEEEEEE DAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRKKKK BOOOOOOOMMMMMMBBBBB SEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYAAAAAAA!!!
(As the screaming voice of Moi Dix Mois’ Seth echoes, flashes of the masked dark bomb are seen before the champion herself is shown clearly on the stage, title proudly around her waist. Looking and stretching her arms out to the ring, she lets out a near demonic laugh before dropping her hands and bringing about red and purple strobes all across the arena.)
Lori Swick: From the bright starry child of the DIAMONDS, Seiya has grown to become the shadow that looms over the entire company. She imposes her will and backs up every word with flawless technique and blinding speed only rivaled by the one who taught her so much of what she knows now. To audiences watching her for the first time, don’t blink.
(Seiya heads over to the apron facing the hard camera, leaping up to it. She gazes out to the masses, flashing a smile and leaping over the ropes into the ring with no effort. She stares a hole through her opponent before removing her championship from around her waist and raising it with pride. Lowering it slowly as she faces it, entranced, she then whips it into the official before forcing her opponent back further into the corner. She purses her lips and mocks a kiss, stepping back as more laughter not befitting her smaller frame escapes. Giving a final pose in the center of the ring, she invites Justina to join her as her music fades and the referee signals to get things started.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
KWDIAMOND SpeedStar Champion Seiya vs. Justina Jade
(Seiya steps up to the slightly shorter Justina, giving her a few pats on the head before Jade smacks her hand away drawing a menacing glare from the dark bomb of Kazoka’s Diamonds. Justina goes for a right hand but Seiya easily ducks, nailing a barrage of quick strikes to the head, neck and midsection before whipping her off. Jade somehow reverses but staggers around to find nobody there. The dark bomb slid underneath before she could realize it and took a second to just stare at her opponent. Snatching Jade by her hair, she yells what are more than likely unfavorable words in her native tongue before dropping her with a Reverse DDT.)
Dilan Valentine: The speed of Seiya is incredible and those strikes..
Lori Swick: Don’t let her age fool you Dilan, she is a 9 year veteran of the sport and has finally graduated to adult competition full time, so she’s making sure to perfect her craft as much as possible.
(Seiya grows tired of waiting for Justina to recover, darting across the ropes a couple times just to show off before again out-matching her speedwise and leaping up onto her shoulders like it was nothing. She whips herself back, delivering a reverse hurricanrana with authority before forcing the dazed Justina to her knees before launching into her with a forceful knee to the face, causing her to crumble back. Seiya drags her into position before ascending the turnbuckles with a triple jump. Standing tall at the top, the dark bomb tosses a figurative one down at Justina Jade before leaping off and nailing a picture perfect corkscrew senton, driving all her weight down onto the chest of her opponent. She looks like she’s about to go for the pin, but waves it off, instead sitting up and smacking her head a few times as she yells at her.)
Dilan Valentine: Okay come on, she could have easily ended it there. This is becoming too much.
Leo Criss: I don’t think this match is about ending it as fast as possible, Dilan. This is a message to the entire company.
(Seiya gets to a vertical base, spouting more at Justina and then the fans, viciously stomping at the head and neck of Jade, scuffing her boots on the canvas after as if to wipe her muck off. Signalling that she’s done playing games, Seiya yanks at the hair of Justina, smacking her face a couple times. She then lifts her dead weight up with a shocking amount of ease, Seiya parading her around the ring before taking her back to the center. Driving her down to the canvas head first in a modified tombstone, the crowd gasps at the sound of the impact. The dark bomb licks her lips before going for a mocking mounted cover with a smile.)
ONE! TWO! THREE!
(DING DING DING!!!)
Ring Announcer: Here is your winner of the match.. SEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYAAAAAA!!!
(Seiya creates distance between herself and her defeated opponent by rolling back, snatching the SpeedStar Title as she reaches a vertical base. Lifting the title belt up to the mixed chorus of the fans, she refocuses her attention to the dazed Justina. Before she can potentially do anything though, the sounds of ‘Pink Rose’ echo throughout the arena as the fans cheer the ridiculous fill of pink in the studio.)
Lori Swick: Well it looks like the fans here in Goliath Studios don’t have to wait to get a glimpse at the woman who will be challenging Seiya for the SpeedStar Title in the legendary Bubblegum Beast Queen, KWD Goddess Champion, Katsumi Kumagai.
(As the chorus of the delicious dance song kicks in, the pink haired wonder makes her way onto the stage, showing off her Goddess Championship, decked out in a gorgeous flared out hot pink minidress with pink and black knee high boots. She bounces around and gives waves to the cheering fans before skipping her way to the ring.)
Leo Criss: THAT’S Kumagai’s wife?!! She’s HOT!!
Lori Swick: Seriously, Leo?
Dilan Valentine: Yeah dude, don’t say that too loud! Do you want your head ripped off?
(Reaching the apron, she gives it a gentle tap before hopping up and taking a seat on it, blowing a kiss before crawling underneath the bottom rope. She rises to her knees, looking at Seiya with a playfully wagging finger before standing tall. Her demeanor shifts to a serious one in a heartbeat as she steps to the champion, the heels helping her already natural height advantage turn towering. There is no fear in the champion, however, as Seiya simply stares up at Katsumi, raising the KWD SpeedStar Championship high with pride.)
Dilan Valentine: Well it looks like Katsumi Kumagai isn’t the only one looking to make a statement to Seiya tonight and who knows what this spells for the Queen of the SpeedStars come Legacy Gauntlet, but we will find out on September 23rd, live from Universal Studios! Until then, for Leo Criss and Lori Swick, I’m Dilan Valentine.. Goodnight and we’ll see you at the Legacy Gauntlet!
(Looking at Katsumi a moment longer, Seiya slowly turns her gaze towards the stage as well. Meeting her glance was the glare of the collective Paradigm roster. Giving a snarl, she nods in understanding once again turning her attention to her Legacy Gauntlet opponent. The two stare down as the show fades out to the company logo.)
