Beginner’s Guide to SouthWest Wrestling Syndicate!
Let’s talk about what SWWS is, since questions have been asked and hopefully we can cover most of the bases.
SWWS is like a lot of angled feds in the regard that we don’t require promos in order for people to participate in shows. Our big thing that we’ve wanted to do was enjoy world-building as well as bringing some different kind of wrestling into the mix.
Currently, there is a central storyline in SWWS involving their talent as well as outside talent embroiled in a war with the Kazoka Office.
Who are the Kazoka Office?
Bad people. At least, it seems that way. Very little is actually known about the Kazoka Office and their dealings. What we do know is they have a very shady way of negotiating as well as some questionable endeavors. The Kazoka Office is a branch of the Yakuza, which usually means bad news for those on the other side. Since a fair amount of talent have been brought in from the Kazoka Office, it seems that the battle lines would be very clear, right?
Maybe not. A lot of the Joshi talent that have been brought in are very happy with their place in SWWS. So much so that they prefer not to return to Japan. They seem to be very nice from what we’ve heard, and have seen through the events they have participated in.
The Kazoka Office are suspected of doing a lot of terrible things already in the company, including invading the television shows to attack the talent, the kidnapping of Kamari, and withholding other talent from competing on the event.
It’s only a matter of time before things really go south.
What IS SWWS? What is the style of their shows?
The style of the SWWS shows vary on the talent. We do like to push characters to their strengths, and also like to write how they would react in situations they aren’t used to. We like to develop the characters to your liking, and help you become enthusiastic over what is taking place in the storylines. The compliments we have received thus far have meant a lot to us, and it pushes us to really try and bring something fresh to the table at every turn.
So, I’m a little behind. Where did all of this begin?
SWWS was built as a merger between Zero Hour Wrestling and The Dishonored Establishment, promotions from nearly a decade ago. We took some of the lore from ZHW (The Legacy Gauntlet), as well as DE (The Prince and Princess Cup - Young Lions Cup style matches), and added new spins to them to try some stuff out.
SWWS Features two main brands and a development brand (which is featured on every show). Blitzkrieg, run by GM Karl Stinson, is a primarily male brand. Paradigm, run by GM Akiko Igarashi, is an all women brand. Gateway, run by GM Eugene Youngblood, is for rookie characters. Everyone has a chance to succeed on these brands, and are being booked to become the stars they should become.
I have more questions!
So, ask away! Shoot us a DM and get a discord link from us. We can also answer questions directly, and hope to see you in SWWS soon!
Thank you!
