SWWS Eclipse Championship
Galina Davidova w/Valeri Gelashvili (Champion) vs. Kamille Sokovic (Challenger)
Summary:
What a way to start Night 3. Two heavy hitters from the Gateway brand, Davidova and Sokovic, have yet to be pinned or submitted inside of the ring. They immediately stared down, with Davidova taunting Sokovic. A pier six brawl ensued between the two, with both women bringing the absolute best out of each other in their precise strikes. Sokovic took things to the ground and looked for any advantage she could get over the Champion, but Davidova was able to defend herself against the mount. Valeri Gelashvili kept the Challenger on her toes by reaching into the ring to grab at her, but Sokovic was mindful of this and kept things closer to the middle of the ring. Once they were both back up, all hell broke loose with a series of throws and suplexes by the Champion. Davidova looked absolutely dominant for a few moments, wearing down Sokovic with a powerful side bearhug after the slam. Sokovic struggled but fought on as she threw wild elbows to the back and shoulders of Davidova. It was Sokovic's time to shine, knocking Davidova to the ring apron. She tried to punch the Champion off, but was held up by Gelashvili until Sokovic delivers a stunning spear through the ropes to send herself and Davidova onto Gelashvili!! Sokovic took advantage by delivering a series of roundhouse kicks to the ribs of the Champion, followed by an open handed uppercut that knocked Davidova off her game. Once they got into the ring, Davidova found herself in a Gogoplata from the Challenger! Using every bit of power in her might, the Champion lifted Sokovic up and powerbombed her to the canvas. She fell onto the Challenger, grabbing onto Gelashvili for the shocking pin in 9:43!!
Winner: Galina Davidova (Title Retained)
Aftermath:
Stunned by her first pinfall defeat, Sokovic removed her gloves and proceeded to deliver a near knockout blow to Gelashvili for interfering in the contest. Davidova tried hitting Sokovic from behind with the title, but the Estonian Bad Girl took her down as well!! They battled on the canvas until Gelashvili could recover enough to pull the Champion out. You know these two aren't done!
Match #2
Seal Your Fate Scramble
Winner gets a shot at the SWWS Interim World Championship
Crazy Violet vs. Harumi Date vs. Sayuri Mase vs. Maria Brienne
Summary:
It felt like SWWS vs. KWDIAMONDS early in the contest with Violet and Mase battling, while Brienne and Date took their fight to each other on the other side of the ring. Once the ring briefly cleared of Violet and Date, Brienne and Mase battled inside of the ring. The power of Brienne was on full display, including a multi-rep Military Press to Mase. Date and Violet battled on the outside of the ring, reaching an insane brawl between the two as cameramen were knocked over as well as two ring attendants. Violet got the better of the exchange, giving her a chance to battle Brienne inside of the ring. The power of Brienne initially worked, but Violet used her heart and will to fight back against such a challenger. Date was back on the attack, helping Violet try and take down Brienne. All seemed well until they actually succeeded, allowing Date to ground Violet with a series of chops and knee strikes. Mase was back in, battling it out with Date. They couldn't seem to gain an advantage over one another before Brienne took both down! She went for a running powerslam on Violet, only for Date and Mase to take the largest foe in the contest down with a double Shining Wizard. It was there that Date had Mase up for a Superplex, but Violet knocked Mase off of the top rope, delivering the Ultraviolet to Date for the victory in 7:32!!
Winner: Crazy Violet (New #1 Contender!)
Aftermath:
An emotional Crazy Violet acknowledged the audience in Tokyo, signaling that she's coming for Seung's SWWS Interim World Championship. Brienne walked by Violet on the outside of the ring, glaring the #1 Contender over before making an exit.
Match #3
RUSH Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship
BLOOD (Champions) vs. Ryu Iwakura & Hisayuki Higoshi (Challengers)
Summary:
Aoki and Iwakura kicked things off. It was old vs. new as Iwakura wanted to keep the record for the longest reigning RUSH Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions of all time. A win would retain that record. The speed of Aoki was able to frustrate the older foe, but he managed to slow down the youngster with a heavy lariat, followed by a senton splash. In came Higoshi. They delivered some of their greatest hit tag team moves, including a stunning Moonsault/Flipping Leg Drop to the grounded Aoki. Once momentum shifted, however, Endo was tagged in, allowing BLOOD to get the opportunity to inflict as much damage as they could. Double Superkicks, A step up enzugiri from Endo, followed by a diving neckbreaker from Aoki was able to nearly secure the victory for the Champions, but the hearts of the Challengers couldn't be denied. Once Iwakura was back in the ring, the old guard was ready to unload. They managed to score a near fall on Endo following a Firemans Carry/Swinging Neckbreaker combination. BLOOD struck again, using the Flapjack/Complete Shot for a near fall on Iwakura. They had to resort to the next level of violence, delivering the ever stunning stereo-Bicycle Knees to each side of Iwakura's head. Higoshi was able to break up the pin. The four found themselves firing up and battling inside of the ring to the delight of the audience. This was where things drove away from BLOOD. Endo was thrown from the ring, allowing Iwakura and Higoshi to catch Aoki on the top rope, delivering the double decker Belly to Belly Suplex for the victory in 16:31!!
Winners: Ryu Iwakura & Hisayuki Higoshi (New Champions!!!)
Aftermath:
Despite losing the Championships just days before setting the record, Endo and Aoki handed the titles over to Iwakura and Higoshi. They proceeded to bow at the feet of the new Champions as an ultimate sign of respect. Iwakura and Higoshi elevated BLOOD, shaking their hands with a small pep talk in the middle of the ring.
Match #4
Donny Mason vs. Jason Long
Summary:
One of the biggest matches in Donny Mason's run in SWWS was coming at the hands of the King of Wrestling himself, Jason Long. The megastar played to the weaknesses of Mason early in the contest, using his inexperience against him. Long outsmarted Mason by taking away Mason's greatest asset, his height. Once he had Mason on the canvas, he worked over the legs of the upstart. The power of Mason managed to keep the holds from being applied for long, allowing the big guy to catch him off guard with a beautiful spinebuster that rattled everyone in Tokyo. Mason's adjustments in the ring were paying off, hitting a sudden rolling firemans carry takedown that transitioned into an arm and neck triangle. Long struggled to fight but found a way to reverse over into a crucifix cradle for a near fall. Long seized the moment, stopping Mason from hitting the Yeet by hitting the Kingmaker for another near fall. Mason fired back moments later, avoiding the Sunset Overdrive with the YEET!! Mason capitalized on the advantage by delivering the Tribute! to Long in the middle of the ring for a close call. Long had to think quickly as the Dambuster Boot was coming, catching Mason's legs to bring him to the canvas and immediately returned with the Assassin's Blade. Rather than going for the cover, Long immediately went to the corner and signaled for the Vanity Killer. He tore across the ring to finish the job, but Mason sprung up and caught him with the Dambuster Boot for the stunning win in 13:31!!!
Winner: Donny Mason
Aftermath:
Mason grabbed his SWWS Evolve Championship, looking at it before glancing at Jason Long. Giving a nod to one of the best in the business, Mason saluted him prior to exiting the ring. In the midst of recovering, Long sat himself up and watched Mason make his exit to the back. The audience gave a strong response to both men for the fight they gave.
Match #5
KWDIAMONDS Triangle Tandem Championship
KKCC (Champions) vs. The Atomic Blondes (Challengers)
Summary:
Of course the audience loved the trio of Koyama, Maeda, and Niki. However, it was the Atomic Blondes, consisting of Azure, Masami, and Sarina that wanted to regain the Championship. Quick tags between the six led to a great exchange from everyone in the ring. A lot of triple teams were done, including the double catapult that sent Koyama into a leg drop on Azure, as well as a triple beatdown on Niki from the Atomic Blondes. None of the competitors remained in the ring for more than a minute each time. Just when the Blondes were looking to put away Maeda with a Double Powerbomb/Top Rope Leg Drop combination, Masami was thrown from the ropes which allowed a quick three on two advantage for KKCC. They had the moment they needed, with a Double Reverse Russian Legsweep from Maeda and Koyama with a Reverse Meteora from Niki that led to the victory for KKCC in 10:03!!
Winners: KKCC (Titles Retained)
Aftermath:
The jubilant Champions posed with their titles, having a great time in the ring following their victory. The frustrated Atomic Blondes walked to the back, wishing they were the ones celebrating with the titles.
Match #6
Tokyo Warfare
MYOJIN, Kenta Saru, & Emmanuelle vs. The Liberation (Johnny Sykes & The COBRA Battalion)
Summary:
From a happy trios match to this. No tags in this one, all six competitors were ready for the fight of their lives. The COBRA Battalion paired off with Emmanuelle and Saru while MYOJIN and Johnny Sykes battled it out on their own. Saru and Emmanuelle managed to thwart any offense from the Battalion, putting Bradley and Fitch on the outside of the ring. They followed suit while Sykes and MYOJIN continued to throw strong strikes at each other on the inside. Initially, it looked like MYOJIN was able to gain the advantage, but Sykes stunned the Shining Star with a snapping Piledriver in the middle of the ring. Saru and Fitch found their way over to the guard rail, Emmanuelle and Bradley battled by the several commentators tables. MYOJIN used just a fraction of their MMA knowledge to slow down Sykes, hitting a Question Mark Kick early. Sykes found himself laying outside of the ring, allowing MYOJIN to help out Kenta Saru in his battle with Jacob Fitch. Saru and MYOJIN brought Fitch back into the ring while Oliver Bradley managed to catch Emmanuelle off guard with a throw over the English commentators table, taking out Dilan Valentine, Lori Swick, and Leo Criss!! That bastard!!
Fitch found himself in big trouble with MYOJIN and Saru, but Bradley managed to get back into the action to help his brother-in-arms. The momentum for the Battalion didn't last long as they were on the receiving end of several hard strikes from Saru and MYOJIN. Johnny Sykes joined the chaos, allowing Saru to exact some revenge for the constant attacks he dealt with. This was where things got intense. Just as Saru and MYOJIN were gaining the upper hand, several men dressed in riot gear hit the ring to help out the Liberation. They grounded Saru before beating down MYOJIN. Sykes gave direction to the men to continue attacking Saru while Sykes and The Battalion attacked MYOJIN. They handcuffed the Shining Star to the top rope, beating them down. With the advantage firmly in place, Sykes called off the men in the riot gear, with Sykes delivering the M27 to Saru. Emmanuelle found herself in the ring, surrounded by Sykes and the Battalion. Throwing caution to the wind, she took the fight to The Battalion, but Sykes caught her with a discus forearm to the back of the head. Seizing the full advantage, the three beat down Emmanuelle while MYOJIN couldn't do anything to help. Sykes pointed at MYOJIN shouting 'Only you can stop this!' prior to setting her up for the M27 until the lights went out. Once they came back on, one of the men in riot gear stood in front of Sykes. He removed his helmet, revealing himself to be MIMIC!!! The other men hit the ring, but were quickly dispatched by MIMIC and Saru. Emmanuelle joined the frey, but Sykes went after MIMIC only to have every strike blocked. Both men battled out of the ring, leading to a stunning Gutwrench Tombstone from the Enigma on the floor. Emmanuelle helped MYOJIN out of the corner, joining Saru to battle the only standing member of the Liberation left, Oliver Bradley. This did not go well for Bradley, who was kicked around the ring by all three competitors. The Busaiku Knee from Saru!! The Queen Bee Drop from Emmanuelle!! A Falling From Heaven from MYOJIN, and Bradley was down for the count at 33:19!!!
Winners: MYOJIN, Kenta Saru, & Emmanuelle
Aftermath:
Jun Nishioka quickly ran down to the ring to check on Sykes. Once he was slowly on his feet, Sykes noticed the men in riot gear on the ground, the COBRA Battalion were not in any better of shape. He watched on as Saru, Emmanuelle, and MYOJIN exchanged thank yous with each other over such a battle.
Match #7
Kaede Ito vs. Yuki Ozaki
Summary:
From violence to graceful wrestling. What a change. Ito and Ozaki spent the first few minutes in the ring as a chance to feel each other out. Ozaki surprised Ito with a flurry of strikes, but Ito was able to regain her ground with stiff kicks of her own, followed by a beautiful flying headscissors. A perfect back suplex, followed by the bridge led to a two count. Ozaki regained her composure, isolating the arm of Ito by driving it into the turnbuckle, followed by a single arm DDT. Strikes were delivered to the arm of Ito, followed by an attempted Fujiwara Armbar. Ito did everything she could to block the hold, using the turnbuckle to roll herself forward into a modified choke. Ozaki found her way to the ropes to break the hold. The assault on the arm continued on Ito, allowing Ozaki to catch her with a stunning Queen's Suplex for a near fall. Ito had to find something to work with, eventually targeting the legs of Ozaki to get back into the match. When that wasn't paying off, she changed her strategy on the fly to target the head of Ozaki, delivering a beautiful crescent kick for a two count. Ozaki couldn't find an answer for the constant changes in strategy by Ito, but went for a second back suplex on the young prodigy. Ito managed to flip backwards to land on her feet before catching Ozaki with the Kubi Chosei for the victory in 9:43!!
Winner: Kaede Ito
Aftermath:
A great victory from the intelligent Kaede Ito. When she made her exit from the ring, she posed on the ring apron while cameramen flocked to her. She looked over at the cameras, saying 'これはほんの始まりにすぎません" with a wink.
Match #8
Steel Cage Match
Matthew "The Raven" Knox vs. FUMIHIKO
Summary:
From beautiful to downright ugly, this match literally started off with FUMIHIKO attacking Knox from behind and delivering a Backdrop Driver!! Rather than going for the pin, though, FUMIHIKO picked up Knox and threw him viciously into the steel cage. Knox couldn't even get to his feet before FUMIHIKO would be on the attack again. Once he was able to, however, Knox managed to avoid a splash in the corner and delivered a series of muay thai knees to the ribs, followed by one to the face. FUMIHIKO looked like a wounded animal, but it was well deserved. Knox delivered a stunning Little Drop Of Poison for a two count. FUMIHIKO struggled to his feet, being driven into the cage wall for his efforts. Knox proceeded to grind the face of him into the fencing, causing him to begin bleeding. Knox hit the ropes, and FUMIHIKO took him down with a damning lariat that nearly sent the Raven out of his boots!! Taking the old approach to busting someone open, FUMIHIKO lit up the face of Knox with forearms to the forehead, causing him to begin bleeding as well!! Knox was in no man's land inside of the cage with this guy, but fought back with full authority. Both men exchanged slaps, chops, and headbutts to cringing reactions from the audience. Knox managed to catch FUMIHIKO with a hard Yakuza kick, but didn't expect him to respond with a series of Mongolian Chops, followed by a Powerbomb for a near fall. Seeing an opportunity, FUMIHIKO decided to try and climb out of the cage. Knox followed suit, hitting FUMIHIKO with everything he had in order to bring the man down. The chance was there, and Knox took it. He delivered Into The Void on FUMIHIKO to the canvas from the top rope for a near fall of his own. In disbelief, Knox quickly pulled FUMIHIKO up, looking for the Mercy, The Murder..However FUMIHIKO reversed into an attempted Backdrop Driver, only for Knox to reverse into the Raze and Ruin for the victory in 16:02!!
Winner: Matthew "The Raven" Knox
Aftermath:
With both men pouring out blood on the canvas, Knox leaned against the bottom turnbuckle while watching FUMIHIKO try to move. It wasn't easy to watch, but Knox's ice cold glare said it all. He slid out under the bottom rope to step out of the cage while both men needed to be checked on by the medical staff.
Match #9
KWDIAMONDS Princess Championship
White Rose (Champion) vs. Jun Nishioka (Challenger)
Summary:
Yes, a new canvas topper was put on. The legendary White Rose and Jun Nishioka traded several chain wrestling attempts inside of the ring to kick it off. Both had their plan, and had no problem sticking to it. Nishioka initially got the better of Rose, catching her with a hard knee to the back of the head, but Rose proceeded to laugh it off and continue fighting. Fans were intrigued by the ideas that Rose had running through her head, but as the match was beginning to unfold, it became evident that Rose's entire strategy in this contest was to test Nishioka to see how long she'd last in the ring in front of so many fans. Nishioka was game, however, using every bit of her youth as a driving point to outlast the Champion as well. The slower paced action for Rose allowed several submission moves, while the faster paced Nishioka would bring on heavy strikes and fast combinations. In an interesting series, White Rose countered a front dropkick of Nishioka into a giant swing, but Nishioka was able to sit up midway through the spin, hook both arms of Rose to deliver a beautiful Double Arm DDT for a near fall. The best Nishioka brought had a counter by Rose, including an Implant DDT from Nishioka which turned into a beautiful Northern Lights Suplex. The end came when Rose's Dragon Suplex was countered into a victory roll from Nishioka, but Rose rolled through only for Nishioka to roll through into a bridging O'Conner roll for the sudden victory in 14:41!!
Winner: Jun Nishioka (New Champion!!)
Aftermath:
As a sign of respect from Rose to Nishioka, the legend handed the title belt over. They exchanged bows and raised each other's hand to the adoring audience.
Main Event
RUSH Grand Championship
Amida Kumagai (Champion) vs. Daniel Horror (Challenger)
Summary:
Early on, Kumagai used his size advantage to ground Horror, taking the unpredictable style of Horror and pushing it into absolute basics. Horror would try to fight out of an armbar, and he'd switch it right up into a half nelson. Horror took the initiative though, reversing a hold into a cravate in the middle of the ring. This threw Kumagai off of his game for a moment, allowing Horror to think he had the advantage. Big mistake for the Champion, as Horror managed to quickly front roll into a Cravate Cutter! He wasn't even able to get a one count on the Human Boulder, but it caught him. Horror immediately took advantage of the surge in momentum by delivering a rolling senton from the top rope onto Kumagai. Horror pounced on the Champion, hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink, but Kumagai was able to bring himself back up. Horror charged in with all he had, taking a standing clothesline from the Champion that rocked the Challenger into a twisting flip to the canvas! Kumagai took control of the contest, working over the leg of Horror. He managed to ground Horror for minutes with a well executed leglock. Every time Horror would try and escape, Kumagai was able to avoid a strike, grinding in the leglock even more intensely. Eventually, Horror was able to escape the hold, but the damage to his leg was evident. It didn't help Horror every time he threw a kick, or ran into the ropes, he was putting more pressure on his own leg. Fighting his way through the pain though, Horror managed to stun Kumagai with the Superkick from out of nowhere!!! Even more incredible, Kumagai didn't leave his feet!!! Horror saw the opportunity and delivered a Horror Intention to Kumagai!! It nearly came to a two count, but the Champion was able to kick out just before that number that alluded every opponent in the last six years.
Horror wanted to go for the Chicago Destroyer, but felt the weakness in his leg each time he would move. Kumagai was back up, delivering a short arm clothesline, followed by a belly to belly suplex on Horror for a two count. It was time for Kumagai to finish this thing off. He picked up Horror for the Fall From The Peak. Before he could lock his hands, however, Horror savagely bit the shoulder of Kumagai!! Horror managed to escape the fireman's carry, hitting Kumagai with several elbows across the head before applying a choke from behind!! The Champion was remaining on his feet, but the hold was being wrenched in on him! Kumagai dropped to a knee to a stunned audience. Horror tried to drop backwards with the Champion, but he was remaining strong. Before Horror knew what hit him, Kumagai had rotated Horror into a scoop, delivering a massive shoulderbreaker on the Daredevil!! Back up went Horror, who was sent in for the short arm clothesline, but Horror ducked out of the way. He switched over into a Ripcord to try the Horror Peacemaker, but couldn't land the lariat! A hard elbow struck Kumagai, allowing Horror to throw all caution to the wind and run to the ropes to go for the Chicago Destroyer. As the Daredevil leapt backwards, he was thrown down into a backbreaker from the Champion!! He pulled up Horror and delivered the short arm clothesline, followed by the The Fall From The Peak for the victory in 34:19!!!
Winner: Amida Kumagai (Title Retained)
Aftermath:
Amida Kumagai went on the microphone and had a lot to say. This was translated to the best of my ability. "We have embarked on this war with SWWS. I have friends here, I have family here. My love, my respect. Daniel Horror is a great wrestler. He brings a fighting spirit that few have. I find this appropriate as this is the last show we share together. Despite this being the end that we know, it opens the door for what we don't. I will see you again SWWS.. Just as important. You will see me, SWWS. One day, one day soon."
Thus ends the three night Golden Wars event. As Kumagai stated, this will be the final shared event between SWWS and the Kazoka Office for the time being. Who knows what's next for the stars of both companies? We will be finding out VERY soon.
