Night 3 - March 28th, 2022
Main Event
RUSH Grand Championship
Amida Kumagai (Champion) vs. Daniel Horror (Challenger)
Story: So far, it has been a legendary run for Amida Kumagai as the RUSH Grand Champion. Nobody has even been able to put him down for a two count, much less take the championship away from him. He has beaten everyone decisively and looks to continue his trend as he battles it out against ‘The Daredevil’ Daniel Horror. People have been rooting against Horror since he debuted, but many eyes have been on him with his recent string of momentum. Nearly winning the Legacy Gauntlet, standing tall in the Crucible, and now the #1 Contender to the RUSH Grand Championship; Horror has all the momentum he needs to win the Championship, right? In the eyes of Daniel Horror, absolutely. The jury is still out on if it’ll actually happen in Tokyo though. How many Chicago Destroyers will it take?
SWWS Eclipse Championship
Galina Davidova (Champion) vs. Kamille Sokovic (Challenger)
Story: A rivalry dating back to August with the birth of SWWS. We have seen these two women completely dominate the competition on the development brand for SWWS. Galina Davidova was crowned the Eclipse Champion back at First Shots Fired, defeating Sokovic in a four way dance that included Tammy Huynh and Justina Jade. Here’s the problem. She didn’t exactly pin Sokovic or make her submit. In fact, nobody has done so. Sokovic has been stunning people left and right with her vast MMA background, but she has yet to get into the head of the Champion. With so much on the line, be it undefeated streaks or otherwise, which of these two great competitors will be the first to blink?
KWDIAMONDS Princess Championship
White Rose (Champion) vs. Jun Nishioka (Challenger)
Story: This isn’t the story of a long reign, no. This is the story about the incredible career of White Rose and her ability to finally win the KWDIAMONDS Princess Championship in January. On the other side of the coin, the blooming career of Jun Nishioka has taken KWDIAMONDS by storm. She’s dominant, she’s savvy, she’s hungry. One of the leaders of The Liberation, Nishioka looks to become the first member to bring home some gold to carry around when she challenges White Rose for the Princess Championship. Co-leader Johnny Sykes has gone on record to say they will not be involved in this match, putting his full trust in Nishioka. Surely, she won’t disappoint.. Right?
KWDIAMONDS Triangle Tandem Championship
KKCC (Champions) vs. The Atomic Blondes (Challengers)
Story: What can be said about KKCC? They have been exciting the crowds in Japan and America for a little while now. The amazing trio, consisting of Mei Koyama, Terumi Niki, and Keiko Maeda, continue to wow the audience every chance they can. Since becoming the Triangle Tandem Champions, they have had the prior Champions breathing down their necks. The Atomic Blondes, who won the titles back in January at the Kazoka Grand Prix, want nothing more than to win the titles back that they feel are owed to them. These six ladies will look to steal the show in Night 3, and it could very well happen.
RUSH Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship
BLOOD (Champions) vs. Ryu Iwakura & Hisayuki Higoshi (Challengers)
Story: A change in attitude for BLOOD. At least, we’re led to believe this. Following their split from Nicholas Gabriel back in January, BLOOD haven’t been seen much in SWWS. They were told that they were too stiff in the ring for some of the matches, but have always maintained that it is their style. They’ve also been the second longest reigning RUSH Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions of all time. The current holders of that record? Iwakura and Higoshi. Best part? This record was set over 25 years ago!! If BLOOD is able to win this contest, they will need to hold the titles just three more days after Golden Wars to become the longest reigning champions in history. That’s a lot of pressure, but they’re up for the challenge! Will history be made in Tokyo?
Tokyo Warfare
Six Person Tag Team Contest
MYOJIN, Kenta Saru, & Emmanuelle vs. The Liberation (Johnny Sykes & The COBRA Battalion)
Story: Social Media can change a person, that’s the story of Johnny Sykes. The formerly calm US Marine has begun a crusade to force the world to see the truth. The truth in his eyes, anyways. Enlisting The COBRA Battalion into the mix, The Liberation have set their sights on ‘The Shining Star’ MYOJIN. Unfortunately for them, they don’t see it as the truth. MYOJIN has stated that they are not interested in whatever the Liberation is selling. Kenta Saru tried talking sense into Sykes and was attacked for it. The odds were in the favor of the Liberation until Emmanuelle made a stunning debut on the last Supershow to help MYOJIN and Saru fend off the attack from Sykes and co. With no disqualification and no tags needed, can the Liberation be liberated from SWWS, or will the trio have their eyes forced open thanks to Sykes?
Singles Match
Donny Mason vs. Jason Long
Story: For the longest time, Donny Mason has been looking for competition on Gateway. The reigning Evolve Champion has been carrying the belt with pride since First Shots Fired in November. Competition has come though, in the form of Jason Long. A former Maverick, a current mainstream star in pro wrestling, Long has been in the ring with just about everybody. His reputation precedes him, but this will even be a challenge for him as he squares off against a very game Mason. It’ll be hard hitting, it’ll be exciting, but when the smoke clears in Tokyo.. Will Mason’s dominant run come to an abrupt end?
Steel Cage Match
Matthew “The Raven” Knox vs. FUMIHIKO w/Nicholas Gabriel
Story: Prologue.. Damn, it has been that long. Nicholas Gabriel has been fighting with Matthew Knox since this company had its first show! Think about that. Think about this as well.. In the first ever cage match featured on SWWS television, Matthew Knox was part of a battle that turned the tide into Gabriel’s favor. FUMIHIKO ambushed Knox and Johnny Sykes to join Gabriel’s faction. Backdrop Drivers have happened, threats have been made. On Night 3, there will be nowhere for anyone to run, nowhere to hide. Will Matthew Knox survive? Will FUMIHIKO finally get his receipt for all the people he has injured? We hope for the latter.
Singles Match
Kaede Ito vs. Yuki Ozaki
Story: Fans are familiar with both of these women, yes. Ozaki has been featured on SWWS shows in the past, but Night 3 will be about KWDIAMONDS for her. She recently won a contest that impressed Kaede Ito so much, she made the challenge to face her at Golden Wars. With that kind of influence, how could one not be impressed? The ‘More Charming’ Ito sibling has made it a point to make every step she takes as trendsetting. Ito vs. Ozaki might be new to the American audience, but in Japan, it will be two stars colliding to cause a massive explosion above the rising sun. The only question remaining is who will come out victorious?
Seal Your Fate Scramble
Winner will receive the next opportunity to fight for the SWWS Interim World Championship
Crazy Violet vs. Harumi Date vs. Sayuri Mase vs. Maria Brienne
Story: Oh, you thought we were done? No, we’re going to kick off Night 3 with a bang! Seung might be the SWWS Interim World Champion at the moment, but she might be without the belt by the time this match takes place. Seung or Hazuki will be facing off against the winner of this four way scramble to determine the #1 contender to the Championship. Crazy Violet is coming off of a successful SWWS Paradigm Tag Team Title reign as one half of the Crimson Bouquet. Maria Brienne has been impressing fans and wrestlers alike with her agility for her size. The two wildcards in this contest are Date and Mase. We’re not entirely sure of their odds heading into this match, but it could be just what the doctor ordered to freshen up Paradigm even more! No promises, only one opportunity for one of these great women.
